**Official USMNT Soccer Thread**

Yea I had too many shirts of modern players, especially Dempsey. Had to get a throwback player since my jerseys from back then are destroyed and size L-XL (I'm 5'8  )

Mix Diskerud, Michael Bradley and Tim Ream off of USMNT roster for friendly

Mix is out because I guess his club wanted him to stay and rehab an injury and getting to a 100%

Bradley is out "to receive treatment for a minor issue in order to be fully prepared for the start of the MLS season."

Ream is out to see the birth of his son, congrats Tim!

CHICAGO (March 1, 2014) — U.S. Men’s National Team midfielders Michael Bradley and Mix Diskerud and defender Tim Ream have been withdrawn from the U.S. roster ahead of the start of training camp for the friendly against Ukraine. No replacements will be added.

Bradley will stay behind to receive treatment for a minor issue in order to be fully prepared for the start of the MLS season. Diskerud is returning to full fitness following a right hip injury suffered 10 days ago, while Ream was excused for personal reasons.

The U.S. will face Ukraine on March 5 in Larnaca, Cyprus. The match was previously set to be played in Kharkiv, Ukraine, but the location was changed due to current conditions in the country. Kickoff at Antonis Papadopoulos Stadium in Larnaca is set for 2 p.m. ET (9 p.m. local), and the match will be broadcast on ESPN2, WatchESPN and UniMas. Fans can also follow the game live on Twitter @ussoccer.

The match falls on the only FIFA international fixture date before May, making this the one opportunity for European-based players to play for the National Team prior to the start of the World Cup preparation camp. The team will begin gathering in Frankfurt on Sunday, March 2, for two days of training before traveling to play for the first time in Cyprus.

Still pretty disappointed at the jersey. Such a soft attempt IMO. It doesn't look bad in the whole kit with shorts and everything. Just doesn't look like a soccer jersey. It looks like any of Nikes other cheap polos you can find at an Outlet/Clearance store.

The shirt reminds me a Nike Golf Ryder Cup polo, doesn't look like a football shirt especially with the light horizontal stripes.

Below is the color palette I posted back on page 125. I'm hoping the red away shirt looks better. I'd like to get my son a USA shirt.

It's too bad because the last ones were awesome IMO.  This looks like an ugly polo.

They were probably trying to achieve the simpleness of the French kits with these new US kits. Definitely doesn't help that our crest continues to look subpar and lazy.

Vid of the team's arrival in Cyprus... Kinda has me hype.

For real though?!? The US needs to come out like this... :smokin

starting XI

I don't understand what the hell Jurgen sees in Castillo. Dude is a poor man's version of an already poor Demarcus Beasley

Hopefully Cameron shows out, would love to see him more at rightback

@psk2310
what should we be expecting from Ukraine? I know zilch about them

I don't follow them too much, but I know they're ranked in the top 20. They used to have a lot of great players.

They're ranked in the top 20. They have some talented players. Not sure how this one will roll to be honest.
