~| the DOM. KENNEDY thread |~

I like this project a lot.  Really was a good move for him actually rapping on it, although at times he's prone to going back to the lazy flow at times.   On Checc Me Out he says 'please come again' for 30 seconds...I love the song but that part was kind of wack.

TYA doesn't need a pass it might actually be Dom's best.  Never understood some peoples response to that project
TYA just doesn't add up with the others.

That was the only project he's released that fans seemed to have a a problem with. The complaints weren't outta the blue, he was soundin weak.

He went to that freestyle/cut in-cut out flow for TYA and young nation and the s*** sounds wack. The music wasn't horrible but his flow/lyrics def were.

He even addressed the fans criticism of that album by tryin to call them stupid (simple) for callin him out on it.

He pretty much acknowledged all of this by going back to his old style for GHS. He felt the backlash and responded.

TYA and young nation weren't BAD, they just coulda been better. Dude got lazy.
Only place I've ever heard anything negative about TYA is NT.  Off the internetz TYA gets more love than any of his other projects around my way.

There's no way you can say GHS is old style Dom, it' 18 tracks and he came with A LOT and versatility, if anything it incorporates a range of sounds consistent with everything he's ever done.

I should of clarified I'll never understand TYA reception on NT.  Light one and skate the town at night with TYA in rotation, if you can't feel it as a whole I just don't know.

TYA started off hot. The it fell off with a little hotness here and there. It was great for the summer though, classic Dom.

Album hasn't come out of the changer since I bought . Dom is talented man. And I'm one of the few that thought TYA was flames. I didn't have an issue with the lazy flow at all. I think it went perfect with the production

Exactly, the chill, relaxed flow was perfect for the beats, I think thats why he didn't recruit THC for production on GHS.  People may hate the lazy flow but sheesh even when he raps at times he has a lazy line here and there " 11 minus one yea she a dime forreal" lol smh
