Hands down some of the dumbest %$$$ I have ever read.

The only hype Andruw Jones didn't live up to was that contract he signed in LA. Dude beasted his entire tenure in Atlanta.

Andruw Jones should be 1st ballot and the best CF'er of our time. Heyward just needs to work on his swing and he'll be back to what he was last year and continue to improve.

andruw jones was one of the best offensive and defensive centerfielders for a decade. i was born in 1990 and i know that. if i could, i would reach through my computer and slap the #$%^& out of you

overrated last year............as seen this season

he reminds me of a left side derrick lee.........same type of stance and everything.

too bad he cant hit like lee

I think Heyward just has to stay healthy and improve his plate discipline. Unlike our previous RFer I think he's more receptive to advice and he'll make strides to be a better player next season.

How old are you?

Andruw Jones not living up to the hype?  Hes currently 45th on the ALL TIME HOMERUNS LIST, and in a lot of people's eyes, a HALL OF FAMER.

I can understand you saying Heyward might not live up to the hype, but to compare him to Druw and say that he didnt live up to the hype either?  Absolutely laughable.

I was simply saying Andruw Jones could of and should of had better offensive numbers, your out of your mind if you say otherwise..
and about Heyward, when he came into majors everyone was going crazy over him saying he's the next griffey and all this.. i just don't see him doing anything close to griffey

you guys took this comment way out of proportion... lol

Didn't want to make a new thread but I was reminded of this thread after reading the MLB Season thread.

What a let-down this guy has been. Reading all these posts and people were comparing him to Griffey  :smh:

What's everyone's expectations for Heyward now that we've seen him for a few years?

Damn, some of y'all were hungry as hell for a young new black baseball prodigy.

Making Griffey and Bonds comparisons lol.

I'm bumping this when J-Hey starts raking again.

Griffey was a hopefully extreme comparison. He won't even be as elite as Trout or Harper, but that's okay. Those are rare prodigies. Heyward will be great in his own right.

Bump it, take a picture, take a screen cap - dude is average and he won't be more than that. Kind of a bust for a one overall pick so far as well.

Come on, Coupe.

J-Hey is 23, and raked in 2012.

He's not Trout or Harper, but a step under is not too shabby.

Dude he's been a .250 batter for a good three years. I know he's still young but he's not going to be a .300 hitter so basically the dude is - average.

I'm sure he'll have a long career, but an average one at best. A step below trout or Harper? Nah, at least a couple steps.
