STREET FIGHTER

No I think all iterations for Streetfighter V will be exclusive to $ony. No way they let Capcom pull that especially if $ony are the ones funding it. If they do then that would be a foolish move, but hey you never know.
I've been fooled into thinking that something was really an exclusive to a console before. Microsoft were bragging that the two DLC expansions for Grand Theft Auto IV were exclusive to the 360. But then they released a "Complete Edition" for both 360 and PS3:

So technically, they were right. Because the DLC didn't come out to PS3. The fact that it came out later as part of a "new game" didn't count.

There are all kinds of loopholes for this "exclusivity" thing. Fool me once...

As much as I'd like to get excited about this as a PS4 owner, this exclusivity probably won't count for Super Street Fighter V, Street Fighter V Turbo, Super Street Fighter V Turbo, Street Fighter V Arcade Edition, Street Fighter V Arcade Edition Turbo, Super Street Fighter V Arcade Edition and Super Street Fighter V Arcade Edition Turbo, which will all see a Xbox One release.

This first release of Street Fighter V won't be given a damb about like 6 months after its release. Does anyone play that very first release of Street Fighter IV? You can pick up copies of "Street Fighter IV" for 10 cents.

If it's truly exclusive, I wish that that they would just say that Street Fighter V is exclusive (which they did), but ALSO that all the upcoming versions of Street Fighter V are exclusive as well. And we all know that there will be other versions.
No one plays vanilla now but the bulk of the profit came from that because it sold the most units at the highest price so it already makes sense from a business point of view.
Also since Sony is helping with development, any iteration if they make them will include work from Sony's employees. I can't see Sony allowing it to be on the Xbone. They didn't mince their words at PSX.

I'm not sure about Dead Rising 3, but Titanfall was/is a completely different story. From what was said in the Xbox thread was Respawn needed help with funding or something not too sure so take this with a grain of salt and both Sony and MS had an opportunity to act, but Sony was/is in the hole with a lot of money debt so MS ended up getting it. This deal with Streetfighter was some lets stick together because we're Japanese crap from what was said, again don't know how true that is, but I'm sure if MS had the chance they would have help funded it too or did something so it would have came to Xbox, but sometimes the ball doesn't always swing your way.

Would that be cool if the American game companies decided hey let's not support Sony because they are not like us and let's stick together because we don't like them for whatever reason, but we copy everything from them to build up our society... meaning everyone, well developed countries, in the world copied American things to build their society to where it is now not trying to say Sony copied, well they did and MS too off of the true innovator of gaming Nintendo. So that would mean no GTA, COD, EA titles on Sony consoles and whatever else the top American developers make.

What's so funny about this is that all of the SF4 tournaments that were held was ran on the 360 because it ran crappy on the PS3 and the one tournament it was held on the PS3 everyone complained and they went back to the 360.

I don't know how popular Dead Rising 3 was but I don't think it was/is more popular than SF V. Titanfall was a new game so it's not like it was something that was always multiplatform with a big following then went exclusive I don't think that is fair to leave long time fans out like that. Sony definitely scored with this though, but MS money/pockets is long and if this is how things go from here on out then MS has the ability to do this also and it's not going to be good for gamers.

I don't play SF like that, had Vanilla and Super on 360, so this didn't really affect me, but I know many of you in here it will affect.

Why would they do such a thing. All of these companies are business first and foremost so the whole nationalism thing won't make sense. Also MS is working with Platinum games for Scalebound.
Capcom wouldn't have gone with MS for SF because Xbox just doesn't sell in Japan so the natural choice for funding would be Sony.

SFiv was said to run worse one Ps BUT since sfV is made ONLY for ps now I don't think that'll be a problem.

This, and the problem was with the PS3's architecture. PS4 won't have that problem.

What the **** is this cahoots capcom has with Sony all of a sudden. Not only is SF V exclusive to PS4 but they released Ultra SFIV for PS4 as well? >:

Yo **** Sony

I can't believe I have to get a PS4 :x

this is whack
I don't want to buy an PS4 just to play SF. I've owned a PS3 once and didn't like how SF ran online or offline and I don't think that just because it's being developed with Sony it's gonna make a difference.
Being a pad player I HATE the d-pad on PS controllers.

I think the story is something along the lines of choosing a character from a part of the world, then travelling around the world at various locations to fight other people.

Hmm.. optimizing a game for one system? opposed to trying to build it for two different ones, with different strengths and weaknesses?

Sony has made the best first party d-pads since the saturn...

That said you could get the PC version (which will probably be cheaper anyway) and play with whatever controller you want.

It makes sense and sound good but I don't understand why it its so difficult to the fix the netcode for two systems.
They can't even get that right and I don't really care for PC gaming

I always wanted to play Zangife but I don't have the real patience it take to play with him at times

Patience is the key. He has some sh*tty match ups though. Some characters, he just can't beat at all. Literally EVERYTHING would have to go his way for him to win. Snake Eyez is by far the best Gife in the business. Dude make Gief look SO scary it's crazy. It's like if you blink during the match you'll be dead.

I can't see Capcom not releasing a new update/version on Xbox/WiiU (or whatever).

I agree with the initial version being exclusive but long term, you want to maximize profits. The architectures are pretty similar so it should be a quick port with maybe some reduced effects and resolution.

I have PS4 so I could care less either way.

I hope there's aren't focus attacks in this version. Introduce a new tactic feature like parry, custom combos, alpha counters, supers, etc.

I also like the destructible backgrounds as long as it doesn't get Tekken/DOA ridiculous.

I'd like core characters like Chun, Ryu and Ken to return but bring back more three and Alpha characters like Oro, Sean, Necro, Karin, Nash, etc.

Yea I know, snake eyes makes me want to play him but he can get zoned out and like you said some match ups he won't win

I'm trying to find a character that's balance and that can cover bisons bad match ups and do good against grapplers.
I've been trying Sagat but he's so SLOW I might pick Ryu

Am I the only one who's never played with Karin, I see her name so much when it comes to new SF games was she in alpha 3?

The 8 world warriors and the 4 devas will definitely return

Why? We don't know when the story is taking place? We've seen Chun and Ryu in TS. For all we know, this could be taking place after TS.

Urien, Oro, Alex, Necro, Karin, Rainbow Mika, Nash, Sodom, Gill would all be welcome additions as well as the original characters introduced in IV. There's no point in using the same stale roster (Alpha 3 and SFIV).

Snake Eyez is that dude. I respect his grind. He started on HDR and moved to IV and started to dominate. The hunger is definitely there. Him and Krone are definitely the stand outs of the new school players. Smug is a quick rising star too, just doesn't have as many years in the game. His style is entertaining despite his pushing buttons all the time,

You put ORO in SF5 and I'm top 8 8). Snake is raw but rarely runs into godlike Honda's or
Chun's. He washes the US comp easily. That random Rufus dive kick span /mixup/throw
is a no go and I love watching EG fanboy's cry. I actually think Rog could beat him
but it would be a close one. Krone salted out IMO for valid reasons, even through
I don't really like him he's right about the gamebeing a waste due to constant change
of characters usually being nerfed.

Bringing most of the 3s cast would be great to see. Necro, Q, and Oro would be
amazing. Always liked the way Sodom looked also.

Crossing my fingers for less characters. Start with 16-20 characters and hopefully max out around 32.

Even as somebody who still plays SFIV a couple of times per week, it's difficult to remember the spacing, special moves, and two ultras for the insanely bloated roster of the game.

I just hope they tighten up that reverse/wakeup window.

Also, please have character stages/themes. Hated that about IV. The one thing I didn't like about IV was a lack of personality present in older games.

And a cool boss. Seth was wack (the name, the character design, the moves).

I didn't like Gill at first but they definitely gave him cool music and decent intros in the later 3 editions. His supers were ridiculous too (more than one super art, cheap meteor, resurrection if you beat his butt and the crazy angel wings super in TS).

YES, street fighter 2 has arguably THE BEST and most iconic soundtrack of ALL TIME...... And SF4 we get mood music and fights that take place in front of dinosaurs for no reason? Trash

Cammy's stage :nthat:

Random: but I've been trying to find the Street Fighter 2 Anniversary collection vs. screen song for the longest. It's really distinct but sounds so hard
