STREET FIGHTER

I hate fighting Mika and Laura, especially Mika. Once she gets a knockdown on you, it's a 50/50 guessing game. Jump or backdash to avoid the command grab? End up eating a big combo. Stand still and block her meaty attacks? Get that *** scooped by a command grab. Her V-Reversal is even more ******ed. It fills up quick and kills any type of momentum you have, and it's a hard knockdown, meaning she can start her guessing games. Playing against those two is merely a guessing game, dumb as hell.

Capcom gotta stop adding characters with command grabs, literally half the cast has a command grab. I wanna play Street Fighter, not UFC.

Lol I noticed that as well with the command grabs. I suppose it falls in line with their focus on fundamentals and having to guess over dealing with vortices and offensive option selects.

Yea, I fought one Laura and I did not know what to do at all.

I think it's also matchup knowledge.
When you're fighting Zangief, you automatically know that if you get too close, you're getting SPD or Running Bear Grab so spacing and footsies are important but it's easy to forget that Vega without claw has a grab and the same with Necalli since they have many other tools.

Nothing new since Yun and Fei Long had it in SFIV and people eventually got used to those.

Fight ID is BladeMeLikeFlair. Usually on after 6 EST Tuesday through Friday. After 2 on Saturdays, and most of the day Sunday and Monday

Funny you say that. Picked up Laura a few days ago because she kinda reminds me of playing with Yun

I pretty much came to the conclusion that im gonna have to learn how to fight with a stick for this game. There isnt a pad on the market that works well with this game.

I was under the impression that I'd be able to purchase the battle costumes even if I didn't preorder from one of the listed retailers. I just want Ryu's battle costume but it seems like it was ONLY available for those that preordered smh.... I know you want my money capcom. Gimme that Ryu battle costume for purchase!

Once the March update hits, the store will open and you'll be able to buy the costume as far as I know.

Yea, I can see the similarities because when she gets going, it's hard to stop that momentum.

Her fireball makes her look broken also

Snakeeyes uses the Street Fighter x Tekken pad with an adapter.

He tried the new madcatz ones at the event but must have reverted to this because he wasn't a fan or something.
They also look easier to execute SPD's with.

Wait, I dont have a ps4 so I dont know, how does the legacy controller setting work? I would of assumed you didn't need an adapter. Does it have to be done manually without one?

Been working on my Necali. His setups are fun but I can't get BIG damage out of him unless I do Target combo- V-Skill- V-Trigger- CA. That's my go to combo right now but the timing from V-Trigger into CA is sketchy depending on if you're in the corner or not and then if you are in the corner you have to modify his V-skill to hit closer. He's fun to play with it but I just want more damage output. His command grab needs to be buffed too. Maybe it's the E. Honda in me that wants the thing to have invisible frames on start up but man his command grab is doo-doo and if you miss.... :smh: K.O.

Anti Air Crush counter though >>>>>>>

His Dive Kick :wow:

This was my complaint of SF4 new characters. Almost all had some type of command throw and a overhead. You pretty much
have to learn all the move sets of the characters in this game (which isn't new) plus overhead moves. Seems like everything is
+ on block for most of the cast. That Nash ex dive kick move is crazy positive on block :smh:. Necallii has that stupid ground kick
then standing jab right after because it's + on block...lol

Mika though is kinda insane, I hated Elf in SF4 and guess who shows up in 5..lol. I'm going to main her until they grown a brain
and nerf her command throw frames. Her v-trigger is pretty much like rose orbs, super stupid.

You wouldn't need an adapter if you have a PS3 stick, all you will need is a Dual Shock 4.

You will only need an adapter for converting other platforms like X360 to PS4 or PS2 to PS4.

Dont know just copped this adapter off the bay

This is the adapter Snake Eyez said he used to get his SFxT pad to work.

^ wait I have a PS3 stick I'm using on my PC with (joytokey). When I hit the tournament scene with the PS4's all over
am I going to need adapter or will the PS3 Te work instantly?

The PS3 TE stick should work, but you'll still need a DS4 controller.  I'm not sure how they're gonna do it at EVO without having multiple DS4s at EVERY CONSOLE station.  Then you gotta make the DS4 is charged and does not have auto off on idle time, or your stick will also stop.

What Bamez said.

The way they did legacy support is a bit convoluted but as far as i know DS4's are now allowed at EVO so you will be allowed to use your PS3 stick
