if it helps any, my 10.5s weigh 1.27 lbs per shoe and my 11.5 og's weigh 1.38 lbs per shoe. I don't have any lebrons or jordans to compare, but you can weigh what you have against my numbers here for reference maybe.

ive noticed this on all the retros ive had. nike isint using half the padding in them that the og's have.

why they would test the waters with lows is beyond me. don't they know people want the old school super high tops back?

I guess whether we get any more will depend on how well the command force retro does. beyond that I have no hopes.

Man the ultra force was the greatest take down version of a shoe ever. I remember that one colorway you guys were talking about the white black infrared.

Man those and the all navy with white swoosh and white wavy midsole part were insane. 39.99 at big 5 back in the day

It wasn't even low vs high, to me. I feel like if they had just rolled out a proper AFV in its mid/low form and not immediately started with the take down, it might have gone differently.

And I totally agree with noblekane noblekane on the Ultras being the GOAT takedown. Funny that they made those in a true high top, a 3/4, AND a true low. The AFV only got a high and the low that was really a mid.

Had the Mach Force circled on the left..Picked those over the Wht/Infrared 6's..That's one of those rare decisions I made as a kid that I have no regrets about..

Well, yeah, I never implied that STS and AF V were coming out. Just excited that Nike mentioned them in passing. At least somebody up there is thinking about them. I've always wanted to own a fresh pair of AF STS. I have the take down model - Air Delta Force ST, sans elephant print. The Quantum Force (sans Air-Sole) was a hot high top, too.

the best thing about the takedown models is that you can still wear them cause the soles are mostly rubber. :D
 
The sneaker knowledge being dropped here is astounding. Shouts out to ya'll for the knowledge to a relatively new NTer. I'd like to see the Air Force V Hi, The STSs, The Air Flight 89 his, and a random pick....the Nike XCT. They're what would happen if an ACG line shoe mixed with a nike basketball shoe. I think they could work in today's market.

I love the ballistics too and have several pairs, all unwearable sadly. I sole swapped the black colorway just to have a pair to wear. barely anyone around here remembers those but like half the nba wore them back in 92-93.
 
I want the first nike air bound to retro right. I always loved that plush flight tongue.

They retroesd the air bound 2 and believe they butchered the air bound 1 retro

I remember as a kid i wanted to know if my air bounds actually had air in them because the air bound 1 had no visible air sole so i stuck the bottom of the heel with a pen and sure enough once i pulled that pen out the shoe made a sound like an aired out basketball

Yep. I mean why retro something correctly when you can just stick a Revolution/AJ3 sole on it. Same with the Assaults.

I definitely want the Force V Lows and the Solo flights. I remember the solo flights with Visible air and without. I will take both solo flight models please. I remember when Corky on Life Goes On got robbed for his. And the White/Green Pair ( My favorite Pair ) that Carlton wore on the basketball team on Fresh Prince. Please Nike Retro all these!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I only want the Spurs cw but so many other shoes coming out i got to get first and other shoes i missed on i have to re get.. i dont know if im going to drop $200 on them thou, im the type to get the money and blow it on something else lol. im not to big on the nike og force hi top models even thou I grew up in that era, we was more attracted to turf shoes with straps where im from. I usually hate a shoe at first then fall in love later, i hope i don't catch that feeling with the CF cause them shzzz is a car note lol.

Vis-Airs were called the Air Flight 90, non-vis were Solo Flights. Solos were one of the few take-downs that were better than the top shelf model.
