Agree and disagree. No since in ever paying for anything in this world. Once we found out the volts hit disco we all waited for the rest and basically all were right who waited. While I'm not knocking anyone who paid retail cause there is no sense playing the waiting game if you don't have to. The majority of shoes these days will hit some sort of disco or a coupon can be applied and I have no probs with it. I don't define heat by what sells out, what nickname they slap on them or how limited. For true show collector, grabbing these at retail is what makes the shoe sleeper. Remember 4-5 years ago almost spending like $500, for a beat pair and have it sole swapped with the 180 midsole but I just waited. Thought these would sell out cause even the 90's basketball enthusiast would've grabbed a pair or two. But it's 2015, people aren't original and are sucked in to what's trending and hyped at the moment. Oh well.
I'm everywhere in the spectrum I guess..I seen these at $200 & walked literally across the hall & copped for $99.I grab pairs at retail or on sale..I still like the shoe just as much..I just got 2 pair's for the price of one.For true show collector, grabbing these at retail is what makes the shoe sleeper. That's the way to do it..if u really dig that shoe,u have no problem paying for it..I completely agree wit the universe playing tricks on us lol.i paid full retail early and have no regrets, i know murphys law would hit me if i didnt scoop them early so im not mad at all and i love my pair even at retail!
I absolutely love the shoe because I am a big 90's basketball fan but was reluctant to pay $200 because the "leather" felt cheap and the pump SUCKS! I have no problem pulling the trigger at $130 or below though lol. That's the way to do it..if u really dig that shoe,u have no problem paying for it..I completely agree wit the universe playing tricks on us lol.
Only thing that has bothered me about them is thi paid full retail early and have no regrets, i know murphys law would hit me if i didnt scoop them early so im not mad at all and i love my pair even at retail!
WHO COPPED THE 12.5 OFF EASTBAY!!!!!!!!
:x>:
Both pumps on my Spurs and Volts work...but they seemed to take a LOT of breaking in before they did anything.I still haven't heard them make a sound after pumping & letting the air out..so I'm assuming my Volt pumps suck as well.
There should be no break in required for the pump bladders and the materials used on the uppers should have no impact either. I get the best results placing my thumb on the inside lining, index and middle fingers on the outer portion of the pump, but very close to the front right by the ventilation hole and apply equal pressure on the inside and outside of shoe. Just pushing on the outside did very little and in the middle of the pump the same. Try that and see if it helps. Both pumps on my Spurs and Volts work...but they seemed to take a LOT of breaking in before they did anything.
Still more stubborn on the Volts than Spurs. The material used for the upper might be part of the problem?
I have 2 12.5s off Eastbay. Got them late last year. Fit much better than the 12.
That was probably it..I just gave it a try..nothing serious..I just didn't want to wrinkle the leather up..I'm never gonna pump them for Basketball purposes or anything..I'm cool..my size feels snug enough,I went up a half size on the Spurs & didn't want to take a step in them, then hunted down my size at another spot. There should be no break in required for the pump bladders and the materials used on the uppers should have no impact either.
