Like others have said.. It's really hard to pay $150+tax knowing that the paint on the midsoles will start cracking easily
Maybe something will change, but we all know it won't
Anyways, thanks for the info

The last retro is ALWAYS in the buy/sell and for good prices, that solves your problem, quality and price point

JB all I ask is for my paint not to chip off. I don't think this is too much to ask for.

150? I remember these were supposed to drop not too long ago but it was a rumor but i gotta buy these.

Great news but for $150 they better be better quality than the pure III's & Fires from 07 that were only $125!!! Im just waitin on pics now...

Fire Reds from 07 had terrible quality, if these have the same quality as those, PASS.

50% price hike? Did you buy them for $100 sometime in the last 20 years? What are you talking about???
I'm not positive and this is off the top of my head...

Well in 93, I'm pretty positive I paid $99 for my first III's...the cement III's, which was the original price.  Even the true blues in 2001 were $99.
In 2007 I paid $125 for fire red III's
The original XX's cost $200.
The 3/20 CDP with the garbage XX's cost $310.
Even the true blues, on an international release were $130 EUR.  From what I read, don't they typically get charged more, so that justifies the $175.

I think the prices have gone like this $100, $110, $120, $125 for the different versions of III's.  See where I'm going?  Where does the $25 increase from?

So where exactly does the $150 come from, a $25 increase in just three years and a $50 jump?
Seems like Jordan listens to demand to determine prices like with the XI and these, but not when it comes to quality or what we really want.

Man, after this release I think I'd have come full circle and I'll be done with buying Jordan's.  First Jordan's I loved, first I wanted and first I bought.
The Fire Reds were $125, so there was a 20% markup over those over a 4 year period. I'm not saying it is justified, i was saying it wasn't a 50% markup. Hadn't realized the '03 retro was $100, thought it was around $110, $120. Either way, for those that say "Fail" or can't understand the markup, take an economics class. Demand has been driven through the roof for Jordans in the last decade. I should have quoted the supply/demand graph. That illustrates it beautifully.

You can add inflation in our currency to the list.

Inflation is usually 3%. $125 three years ago is not worth $150 today.

I think he is saying a 50% mark up from the original price.

The only other Jordan that has jumped as much is the II.

And the supply and demand is sort of off, because what GR Jordan has sold out besides the Space Jams?

I love this shoe, but i can't help but to complain about the price. I mean, I wouldn't pay 150 for fire red quality which mine didn't even last 6 months without cracking. It was so bad, I just work out in them smdh

Thanks to the OP for the news.
I'm not a pessimistic person, except when it comes to new JB sig releases.  There is no way on earth quality is going to be better--not at the $150 price point.  Look at the Space Jams .... still sold out and the quality is crap.  JB, like most major companies, only care about how cheap I can make a product and how much I can get the for the product, thus the end result --> $$$

It's just like resellers on Ebay (a good handful on NT, too) .... how cheap can I buy, how high can I resell.

If people buy the shoes and demand is there, JB isn't going to make changes that affect their pockets.  Does JB know about the yellowing issue with the Vs, VIs, and XIs--yes.  Do those models STILL sell out--yes. If the shoes don't sell, then JB will make changes--but at a higher price point and more limited (AKA BINs).  It's frickin' simple.

The quality will be worse or the same as the '07 III releases -- expect it, count on it
