News On Future Films Based on Comics/Paranormal/Sci-Fi

So apparantly the rumor for Jurassic World is that they are splicing genes or animals and dinosaurs to make a new dinosaur. The description was

Thanks to its spliced DNA, this new creation will apparently have a highly flexible snake-like jaw, the intelligence of a raptor, the ferocity of a T-Rex and the camouflage abilities of a cuttlefish.

Also I wonder if they will use the classic velociraptor or the new version with the feathers.

Didn't know about Secret Service or Superior films but I'm not surprised I remember my boy told me back in 08 Millar joints area almost always aimed at the big screen.

With that said I can't wait to see both

A superman sequel where superman doesn't get top billing

All DC had to do was call the film World's Finest. Would've even Settled for Man (or Men) of Tomorrow :smh:

^It's really the Justice League prequel. They just won't admit they are rushing **** and don't want to outright copy Marvel because the comparisons will be brutal.

Dawn of Justice screams animated feature not live action film. Just sounds lame to me but I'll still see it

Well they're no longer copying Marvel no matter what they call the film. They only got one film for Supes. Not two other solos. They're immieadetly jumping to jamming all the heroes in one flick with not much set up like Marvel did.

Not surprised since they almost did that already with the failed JL movie.

Also lets not get it twisted, Big Hero 6 was created by Marvel. Disney is just doing an animated film of it.

They should of just named it Batman vs. Superman. And left if like that. The subtitle is really corny. I'm still excited to see it though.

DC doesn't have any confidence in this film. That's why the date got pushed back, that's why this seems more like a batman film than a superman film, that's why they're tryna push their lame ensemble team on us.

Marvel really ruined how movies are made now. Everything is a lead up movie and if it's good as a stand alone film it's just coincidence. I understand leaving room for the future but these movies should all just be called "to be continued...."

Bro is Superman and Batman on the same film, it'll sell even if the two just sat in a bar and drank beer together.

Anyone who thinks otherwise has got to be insane.

This is DCs ace in the hole, if anything will make a billion outside of Nolans Batman films, this is it.

What I think they are doing is like an XMen film for the JL, you really do not need an origin film to start them off because most know the core members anyways and then after the film that is when they can go with their solo films. Same way animated films work for JL films, the members really need no introduction and they just operate as a team already or just get together to stop a big threat and I think they can do that in the JL film (not NotMoS2) and then branch off to solo films.

At least that's how I would do it if I were in WB/DCs shoes.

We all know this, and I'm sure they know this as well. So what's the rush? I mean I'm sure that this film will create a good platform for the JL film but everything just feels rushed. I still feel like superman should've had a proper sequel. Throw in Affleck as Bruce Wayne and not show him as batman yet. Actually invest in these films instead of throwing all their eggs in one basket.

Again they could just be doing it in reverse, it's really not rushed because they had a Batman/Superman film and JL film going 10-15 years ago, they just want to do it. AGain, just from the JL cartoon, many knows the core members just like the 90s XMen already made the characters more familiar. Hell when GL movie came out people were wondering why he wasn't black because Stewart was the main GL in the JL show.

As Blaster said, Marvel got everyone spoiled because it worked so well for them but that isn't the only way to do it but everyone else thinks it's rushed.\ just because it isn't the Marvel way. No need to make another Batman origins film, I don't need to see his parent die again he same way I don't need to see Peter get bitten by a spider in the next 2-3 decades.

They moved it because they're likely shooting BvS and JL back to back not because they have no confidence in it.

Plus the new WB CEO is a risk taker which is a big opposite of the former CEO who didn't want to take chances. Take that as a good sign of things to come.

Went to marvel offices at noon for a "15 minute meeting." 3 hrs and 80 lbs of issues later, here I am paralyzed from excitement.

^^ I'm actually rooting for this film to succeed surprisingly. I'm just curious as to how they really plan on getting out of Marvel's shadow in terms of shared universes on film and ensemble casts and all that. I know you were aware that I was trashing this film when it was first announced and the idea of Affleck as batman made me cringe but the Jesse Eisenberg casting made me optimistic. I like his acting and him as Lex Luthor can be very memorable if done well
