News On Future Films Based on Comics/Paranormal/Sci-Fi

lol. Comics are glorified promo material for the movies these days. Especially if Marvel is truly dumb enough to think shelving F4 is gonna be enough to stop Fox from making their movies highly profitable. Not to mention pushing Inhumans so they can get the movie going but not even doing it right. Pushing every issue back months.

All the properties that they own movies for have increased in quality and all the ones they don't are treated like second class characters.

1000

I wish I could get this ridiculously large..... Oh well

1. I am bummed that Marvel aren't using the staple characters that made Marvel known in this poster. I think it's stupid how Marvel is trying to market their movie properties (minus Spider-Man) as the main characters. You need X-Men, Fantastic Four...I honestly don't think GotG is mainstream quality to be represented on the 75th anniversary poster.

2. Who in the world approved of this artwork?!?! Rocket Racoon looks ridiculous. They could have at least asked Leinel Yu or Humberto Ramos to draw this damn poster.

Marvel is *** backwards. For all the good stuff they're capable of, they do stuff like this. No reason the Guardians of the Galaxy, Nova and Iron Fist should be on that poster. The X-Men and the Fantastic Four should be on it regardless of movie rights. This has Disney's stink written all over it. Celebrate your history the right way.

This has nothing to do with Disney and everything to do with Marvel Studios problems with FOX.

Disney is known for playing the long game. They're not worried about X-Men rights. Marvel studios is only releasing 2 movies a year now and might go to 3.

I will say though, dudes are getting a bit too sensitive over one Greg Land poster. They slap a 75th anniversary banner on top and now Marvel isn't recognizing their characters. I don't see anything wrong with them wanting to promo their movie characters and Spidey who they still make a bulk of money off of.

Marvel’s ‘Dr. Strange’ to Be Directed by Scott Derrickson (EXCLUSIVE)

As Marvel keeps hunting for its “Ant-Man” director, the company continues to move forward with its next phase of films, tapping Scott Derrickson to helm “Dr. Strange.”

Talks are still early, but sources say Derrickson, who most recently directed “Sinister,” is Marvel’s choice and a deal should be struck shortly.

Marvel had no comment.

Depends. If they're trying to build Strange up to be the big one once RDJ dips...then that ain't it.

But if it's just to make a good movie...Leto could work. Too bad Bale and Jackman already got their comic book on, cuz they'd both be great for it.

Scott Derrickson :smokin ...Sinister was one of my favorite movies of that year.

I believe the plan is still for Dr. Strange to replace Stark as the central figure of the MarvelMovieVerse.

Letos a good actor but I would prefer someone else as Strange. I'd prefer Cumberbatch.

David Tennant could work, Matt Smith too but I have a feeling they aren't even on the list for the role.

Looks like little finger is also being looked at for the role.
