News On Future Films Based on Comics/Paranormal/Sci-Fi

I believe the plan is still for Dr. Strange to replace Stark as the central figure of the MarvelMovieVerse.

Letos a good actor but I would prefer someone else as Strange. I'd prefer Cumberbatch.

I want Cumberbatch as Maximus if they ever do an Inhumans movie but I guess I wouldnt mind if he was Strange.

David Tennant could work, Matt Smith too but I have a feeling they aren't even on the list for the role.

Looks like little finger is also being looked at for the role.

The thought of carcetti being the most next franchise actor for Marvel is :smh:  The guy is an awful actor.

Lemme get Oscar Isaac or Bryan Cranston with CGI

I don't know much about Dr. Strange so the plan for him to be the main guy of the Marvel movies has me intrigued. I watched his movie on netflix and remember him from the fox spiderman cartoon. Is he a popular character?

I think Viggo is too old at 55, his movie will start in Phase 3 and dude will be in his 60s by his sequel.

40 is passable especially for some like Leto that can pull off a younger look.

No he is not a popular character, but then again neither was Tony Stark before these movies. But I would say that tony stark is before MCU was still more popular than Dr. Strange. I guess it could be up for debate.

Strange has those magical / mystical powers so I wonder how much movie fans will be into his character. I like the fantasy genre so I can get wit it.

Plenty of people love Gandalf and the whole Harry Potter franchise so I am sure he'd get a lot of love if he is marketed right.

Feige just talking about Strange is already getting his name out there and have people looking to the character. They'll likely bring him to the Avengers and Spiderman cartoon or create his own series and the kids will be hooked.

We'll be able to gauge how well he'll do by the numbers GotG gets just because they are much more obscure than Dr. Strange, they really just have to do Cap1/Thor1 numbers for Strange and it'll be considered a success.

LOTR and GOT has helped people get into stuff with magical elements. Disappointed with the hobbit though. It definitely feels like they've stretched the story too much to get 3 movies out of it. I need to start the book.

Damn, another director passes on AntMan.

Earlier today, we scooped that Rawson Thurber had been offered the job in the hopes of settling down the movie’s rocky road to production and getting things back on pace to hit that July 2015 release date Marvel is still dead set on. Unfortunately, the ANT-MAN nightmare for Marvel continues, as sources tell us Thurber has indeed passed on the film, sending the studio right back to the drawing board to find someone actually willing to touch this movie with a 10-foot pole.

Antman is starting to look bad for Marvel already :smh:

Jared Leto as Dr. Strange?! Hellllllllll NOOoOoOo! That would be a big mistake on Marvel's part. He's a great actor but wouldn't be believable as strange.

Daniel Day-Lewis , Marvel. Wisen up...

Man.. If they do a dr strange movie just right.. I could see that being huge

Loved the cartoon movie they put out

Yeah, how could those bums not think of Daniel Day-Lewis?? What's wrong with them?!

I hope Marvel'll think of someone I liked better, but who really?

Who's a better pick, that can act, who people will recognize and like, and who hasn't been in one of these already?

And remember Marvel doesn't like to pay their actors blockbuster money. And they wanna lock them down to like 6+ movies.

Yea, don'lt see DDL take part in a marvel film. Dude is too busy racking up oscar trophies.

Was just googling a little bit.. Jon Hamm could make a good dr strange

Once he loses his hands.. Hamm would definitely be able to pull off the depression and alcohol abuse he goes through

Basically his character from mad men, but he's a surgeon

I don't remember seeing anything saying Dr Strange was from the states..

Mark Strong?

Well...Mark Strong played Sinestro in Green Lantern. And he's basically made his career being the villain or mob guy in things.

And if I only knew Jon Hamm from his movies, I'd never expect him to lead a big one. I mean, you forget he was in The Town while you're watching it.

Only name I can really think of is Colin Farrell.
