News On Future Films Based on Comics/Paranormal/Sci-Fi

 talking about wanting substance and then mentioning Carnage :smh:

Substance in Spider-Man is a joke. Feels like almost everyone in the Spideyverse is a clone these days.

Like I keep saying I dont mind changes, but Spidey should be changed almost in its entirety with its weak *** storytelling. Surprised they havent used the Life Decoy Model crap.

They need to mature Spider-Man. Nix the high school "this is all a metaphor of going through puberty" thing, make him 35, brutish, broke and, quite frankly, tired of this ****.

Pissed off middle aged Spidey won't relate to the kiddies and won't sell toys

Are the kids really buying this stuff? Or is it the pissed off middle aged parents that grew up on Spider-Man?

You're right. It wouldn't work for movies or Saturday morning cartoons, but it would be an interesting take on the character for the comics.

Yeah comics would definitely work

Seems like the only characters who get older are batman's sidekicks. Or if they go to the future then they'll show people older.

Yeah the animation style was a little iffy at first, but i got used to it. Tthe quality of it is actually very nice and there are some :pimp: fight scenes in the show

That was actually pretty cool. Can't say I'd watch, but not what I expected. :smokin

I'll just mention again how reading Maximum Carnage gave me a headache :smh:

I would say you're wrong but you don't even read Spider-Man comics for me to go in to it.

 I'm assuming you're talking about the movies since you mentioned hs. They're not about to time skip Spidey to a hardened grizzled vet.

Overall though, sounds like you want and should watch Batman or Daredevil. Peter Parker's suppose to be lighthearted despite going through all this ****. If you want Spidey a bit more different personality wise check for Venom or Spidey 2099.

It'd still sell toys

Yall should read the JMS Spider-Man run. It isn't all dark and gritty but he has Peter acting more like a grown man, evolving and behaving more like in his late 20s than early/mid.

I'd also suggest the last Venom run, The Gauntlet, Kraven's Last Hunt, A Death in the Family, a few others.

I wonder how Venom would do? Him and Superior Spidey are the only 616 spidey figures I like. Venom is hit and miss tho. I was told to check out Scarlet Spider. Still haven't got around to it.

Besides I am pretty sure the merch rights to Spidey almost entirely belong to Disney so its none of Sony's problem.

Man they really do need to do a run on Old Man Spidey :pimp:

Just thinking of Old Man Logan this does sound like a good idea.

Mix in the defeatist attitude of Spider-Man Reign and the bleak future of JMS' future Amazing Spider-Man and I think you'd have something.

I can see it now.

Spidey sitting in a rundown apartment wearing a wife beater and his mask half on, taking a bottle of Jameson to the head.

The hell? So releasing a teaser or clip for a film they have been filming is desperate? Who made a rule that a trailer or teaser can only be shown if the film is coming out within a year?

Regular fans (and die-hard fans) would be ecstatic but you with your hatred for DC and pretend comicbook-fan-wannabe is the only one who would see it as a negative.

lol pretend comicbookfan wannabe. I've already told you I am cool with not being categorized with you comic fan lames.

Keyboard warrior

ffs. A comic book fan is the LAMEST to be proud of
You know everything about a medium that kills and reanimates characters on a weekly basis, as well as other repetitive garbage storytelling. Congratulations on your accomplishments
