News On Future Films Based on Comics/Paranormal/Sci-Fi

i actually stayed away from this thread for a while because they title was so ******* vague... i thought it would be a mess in here but this thread flows a lot better than the movie specific ones imo

Both serves it's purpose, this thread is more general and vague, it isn't a superhero specific thread.

Again once a movie comes out, especially as big as Marvel films, this thread will be convoluted with the film conversation and any news will just get drowned and be missed by most.

There is also the spoiler problem, if there is this one single thread then people who doesn't want to get spoiled would have to avoid this whole thread but then what about those posters who wants to post about a horror film or a monster flick? It's easier to avoid a single movie thread than the one general superhero, monster, alien, horror, etc... thread.


And really, that is the only reason this thread flows better because most of the conversation and jokes about Hawkeye is on the Avengers/MarvelU thread, without that thread this one would be a big mess.


I mean it really isn't that hard to go to two threads and post news or read them. I honestly do not see the big deal, despite little overlapping discussions, it's kept everything neat and in place.

Wesley did a great job in all 3 Blade films IMO
 
Is Ms. Marvel being added to the Avengers something that was always planned or just a reaction to the rising feminist sentiment to the lack of women in comics?

She was in the good Avengers cartoon. I don't think they care about those feminist lames. The movies have been expanding into space so having her character makes sense. Plus she's be good eye candy to go along with Scarlet Witch and Black Widow. Also the character is super strong and it'd be cool to see her destroy stuff.

She was always in Whedon's notes and scripts allegedly and well Whedon has been empowering women in media way before any feminist outcry. So I'd think that's genuine for him unless somebody wants to just assume he's cashing in on the opportunity.

He originally had the Wasp in his Avengers scripts so no doubt he wanted more of a strong female presence. When I think about it Avengers is some of his most male dominated work.

^ :lol: at the very least split the threads when a movie is close to coming out.
Hopefully this west coast avengers rumor is false. No one wants to see a team lead by Hawkeye

This thread is just largely dominated by comic book movie talk but there has been paranormal, E.T., monster/horror, etc. (look at the thread title) based films in here.

What would help is if some of you guys stopped reposting the same videos and articles in both of those threads. It's incredibly redundant. I mean you could at least gauge how important the info is to warrant it being posted in 2 and sometimes 3 different threads.

No reason to see the same damn comic vid about the post credit scene of AOU in more than one place.
 
Definitely helps if the smaller news or rumors could just stay in the Avengers/Marvel thread or Spiderman Movie thread while the bigger news could be posted on both.

Just an example, we do not really need to see the deleted scenes for ASM2 here, just keep it in that thread.
 
Eh, I liked the pattern better with Michael Bay when things were unnecessarily blowing up for no reason like rocks falling on rocks :lol: That looks like it used all of the explosions front he actual movie with a 90s movie Batmanesque score.

Nolan has his own ticks and noticeable traits but nothing really bad or over done. Would've been funnier if they replaced the faces of the characters with JGL, Cotillard, and Caine :lol: or something.

"Theres stuff i am not allowed to talk about" makes me think they keep him in the know for the major news. But asking him if hope van dyne is hanks wife or daughter in the film adaptations would leave him in a blank stare.
 
He said on an interview with Larry King that he is a comic book writer. He doesnt want anything to do with the movies. Let the movie people handle their business.

Basically saying he only cares that the correct people do it right and he doesnt care for the details.
