News On Future Films Based on Comics/Paranormal/Sci-Fi

yea he was cool i actually like MCD's work but when youre accustomed to things a certain way it was just odd. have they said anything about the relationship between Johnny and Sue? i wanna see how they explain that.

Their dad is black. I am guessing they will go the step-brothers/sisters route. Or Sue might be the adopted one.

IMO, Batman Begins is the best Batman film to date. The Dark Knight is an overall better film, but much like the 1989 Batman, the Joker steals the show.

And on the subject of Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy...

Deadpool is now slated to hit theaters in about 16 months, three months before X-Men: Apocalypse. Reynolds is still set to star, with Tim Miller directing. Miller has never directed a feature film before, but he's the guy who made the super-cool title sequence to David Fincher's The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. Also worth noting is that the studio is going with the script by Rhea Reese and Paul Wernick.
The script is the big news to me, I loved it, they just need to update the pop culture references

I thought they saiid during SDCC that Reynolds was out?

:smokin

It's definitely my personal favorite.

RR said he was out because him tim miller and the writers wanted to make their vision of deadpool and Fox was still hanging on the that pg13 watered down vision they thought would sell

The leaked footage changed everything

Ryan Reynolds...this is your last chance
At this point, I'm expecting a stinker, so anything half-way decent will be a success. RR just hasn't had much luck with comic book films. Still, out of all the comic book characters he has played (Hannibal King from Blade: Trinity, Nick from R.I.P.D. and Hal Jordan from Green Lantern), Deadpool has always been tailor made to RR. The casting is about as perfect as RDJ as Tony Stark. Now comes the tough part; execution.

If the film is anything like the test footage then it's gonna be awesome....but a rated R movie in February? Yikes

But what if the deadpool film alluded to xmen apocalypse somehow. Like deadpool breaking the 4th wall and walking into a scene from Apocalypse..... :wow: this deadpool film has all the potential in the world

I'm in for the Deadpool film, I thought the test footage was pretty good and Reynolds is finally in a comic book role he belongs in. I never read the leaked script but from what I've heard, almost everybody thought it was solid. Releasing in February is tough but there's also going to be relatively no competition, just make a good movie and cut a great trailer and I think it can do fine.

I'm also guessing an end credit scene alluding to X-Force will be done and that they will try to sneak a Wolverine cameo in the movie somehow since he apparently has to be in every X movie.

Well I could hate on who writes his lines for those movies but I don't know who they are.

I think he would definitely work better as a character that is more serious. I don't find him funny in these movies so I don't want to see him try and be funny.

He should go back to rom coms. That was his thing. He made a career out of being eye candy for women. He's kind of cheesy and 0 for 4 in comic book movies. Apparently his current movie The Captive is getting slaughtered by reviews. It's sitting at 19% right now.

He's still winning at life though. He's rich, famous, was once married to Scarlett, and now he's with Blake Lively. Why does he need to muck up these superhero movies? I feel like he still gets less hate than Ben Affleck who actually made a turn around since Daredevil and won a Best Picture Oscar for a movie he produced. Ryan Reynolds has had a bad streak for the last decade.

I agree with the people who say this is his last chance. I hope it ends up being good, because I don't want to sit through another Blade Trinity or Green Lantern.
