If Peter Parker isn't spiderman than who will be? Ben Riley? Miles Morales? People who casual audiences have no idea about? Peter Parker will always be spiderman in film. And as far as civil war, if you have spiderman, iron man and captain America you have 75% of civil war. You don't really need Reed Richards or Pym. All they did was create robot Thor and the other robotic heroes and I don't know if Marvel will add that part into the civil war. It'll make Tony look too much like a douche. And even still they can just have stark industries fill in the role of for making the robot heroes

Who gives a **** what casual audiences have an idea about?

Those are questions if SONY was doing it cuz they have a shaky vision and aren't as good.

If Marvel is running **** like I would hope, then the audience is gonna take it and like it. Miles Morales, Ben Reilly, Spider-Gwen, Pete's and MJ's daughter, etc. don't matter who. It could be Doc Ock for all I care. The fans will love it and it'll make billions cuz it's Marvel and he'll be fighting the Sinister 6 on his own.

Man you're totally downplaying CW but again I don't see signs of it so it doesn't matter. Making CW movies around the fact that Spidey has a secret id is dumb. It'll basically be Civil War in name only like Age of Ultron. If that's the case makes no sense to continue talking about what the movie would need if it aint even gonna be based off the comic.

Remember when I was going to bat for ASM2 and making all that noise about appealing to the comic book fans and you and blotters were trying to breakdown to me that these movies are meant to appeal to the casual fans and average movie goer >D

Either way, you and I along with other comic fans and casual audiences alike know that Peter Parker is the original and definitive version of spiderman. Not to say that we would never get Morales ultimate spiderman on screen or a superior spiderman film but Peter Parker needs to interact with his fellow superhero counterparts before we get a clone saga film or any of that. But Marvel is trying to appeal to its comic fans through getting Spiderman involved in their film universe. As far as CW the overall idea is still there and truth be told the seeds had started to be planted since CA: Winter Soldier. Cap is a proponent for freedom...almost to a fault. And Tony is just a screw up douchebag that keeps messing things up more and more and tries to fix it and makes it worse but is to narcissistic to think he's in the wrong and you have a clash of ideologies. You have cap on one side and iron man on the other and spiderman, marvels most popular and beloved superhero caught in the middle. The film won't be able to get every intricate detail of the comic but the overarching theme and those 3 characters will translate beautiful on screen. It'll also be a way for marvel films to get a little darker. ...Marvel has been listening to my ideas :nerd:

That's cuz SONY sucks and made a subpar Spidey movie with Amazing.

Marvel doesn't have that problem. Casual audiences don't know who a Star-Lord is but it don't matter cuz with Marvel it's so good the casual audience is gonna like it anyway. Should be pretty clear what I was talking about if you read the rest of my post.

That's why I'm saying if there's any truth to this I hope Marvel just takes complete control and slowly pushes SONY's input out of this.

Wow, did not even know but Marlon Wayans was casted as Robin in Burtons 3rd Batman film that was never made.

After 1992's Batman Returns came out Tim Burton began working on a third Batman film that he would direct. Michael Keaton would've reprised his role and the storyline would've featured 'Robin' joining up with the Caped Crusader to defeat The Riddler. It got so far into production that Rene Russo ("In the Line of Fire") had been cast as Bruce Wayne's love interest and Scary Movie star Marlon Wayans was cast as 'Robin.' He was even fitted for his Boy Wonder costume. No images of him in a 'Robin' costume have ever surfaced.

Things went south when Warner Bros. requested that Burton tone down the darker elements as they didn't want a repeat of Batman Returns. They felt as though that film was too dark for families and hindered its performance at the box office and its sale of toys. Burton didn't backdown and WB replaced him with Joel Schumacher ("The Lost Boys"). Burton stayed on as a producer. Schumacher ditch a lot of what Burton had planned and because of that Michael Keaton ("Mr. Mom") exited the project as he didn't like Schumacher's new direction. Marlon Wayans was replaced by Chris O'Donnell ("Scent of a Woman"), but was paid in full. When Val Kilmer was brought on board Schumacher felt as though Russo was too old to be Kilmer's love interest so she was also let go. In the end, we got 1995's Batman Forever.

I remember hearing about this on a podcast a few years back and remember that the craziest part was that he still got paid for Batman Forever and Batman & Robin, even without doing anything for both movies. Can't even hate on that.

Yeah, that was heavily talked about in the thread about superhero movies that almost happened.

Would've liked to see Marlon do it even though I don't care for Robin.
 
Why does everything need to be rebooted? Heard they are rebooting Ghostbusters with an all female team. Like you don't have to reboot Ghostbusters to do that.
 
Meh, I'm not mad they're redoing Spider-Man. The last 2 were a fail imo (not talking about sales). It is rather quick though
 
I know what you mean but not everything needs a reboot. Like you honestly can tell whatever story you like in the ghostbusters universe with out rebooting it.
 
If they're smart they don't dare even hint at another origin movie. Pull the same thing they did with the Hulk. James Bond the character.

When I originally heard the all female Ghostbusters I thought it was still in continuity and like one of the women was supposed to be the daughter or granddaughter of one of the OG ghostbusters and that would be the way they usher in this new team.

A complete reboot/remake is dumb.

I don't know what to think of Powers. Haven't read the comic and since this on Playstation tv I aint watching it until the season is over and it's all available elsewhere.

Hard to predict quality. Don't see a whole lot of familiar faces either. Forbes, and the British guy from Suits/BB/Homeland and that's it.


Nothing but hype for the Daredevil series. Nice art by Joe Q for it.
 
They need to stop whoring out RE. Or at least fix it. The franchise has become a complete joke. The recent video games suck, the movies suck, the TV show will suck.

I 100% feel you blotters. I grew up loving RE 1-3 and I even read the books as a kid. They completely ruined the franchise. If they go back to their survival horror roots though..
 
If they reboot the franchise as survival horro id give it another shot but capcom has become worse than EA. They had been compared to EA before (12 versions of every SF, MM 1-6 coming out within a 5 yr timespan, etc) but they came with it on a lot of franchises so it wasnt noticeable.

I thought 1 and 2 were dope. Didnt like 3 as much. Despite being an action game 4 was still very good. Since then the only noteworthy thing they have done was a black female lead. But that game sucked anyway.
