For gods sake, remove the helmet on Cap and put one one Thor.

Loki gets some action with his helmet on, why not Thor?

CAPTAIN AMERICA's Sequel Has A Release Date!!

Mark it down on your calendar now - April 4, 2014. That's when Marvel Studios and Walt Disney Pictures have decided to give us CAPTAIN AMERICA 2, which may seem a bit odd to you since it's a whole month early than the typical kick-off to the summer blockbuster season the first weekend of May.

To this point, we've only gotten the big Marvel movies during the summer months. That's changing next year with THOR 2 scheduled for November, with IRON MAN 3 hitting earlier in the year, allowing for the films to not run into each others' business, while also penetrating the two busiest times at the box office with two pretty recognizable properties. This makes you wonder if Marvel has another project lined up for scheduling later that summer, around June or July, to collect the summer dollars... ANT-MAN? THE AVENGERS 2? Another INCREDIBLE HULK?

Ben Kinsley in Iron Man 3; Based on Warren Ellis' Extremis

Variety has learned that Ben Kingsley is in final talks to play a villain character in Iron Man 3. According to the trade report, Marvel declined to comment on the deal and insiders denied that he would be playing Mandarin. It has been known for months that the third film will be loosely based on Warren Ellis’ six-issue Extremis that introduced nanotechnology to Stark’s technologies. The trade thinks that Kingsley’s character will play a role in the spread of a nanobot virus. I’m sure we’ll learn more in the coming days.

Very interesting. I'm not sure I like this move though.

Extremis was dope,  but i feel yeah. Seems like it'll have more action than iron man2 with the nano machine plot.
Took dude all of 5 moves to kill the bad guy in iron man2.

For a cool as the iron man franchise could be, the dialogue and script is always too lighthearted and the villains aren't the best choices.

I would love to see a Christopher Nolan directed version with the Mandarin as the villian.

Wow, the next film already going to the Extremis storyline? Definitely interesting...I really hope that this film is better than Iron Man 2...I didn't think it was as bad as everyone said it claimed it to be. But after re-watching the movie, Iron Man > Iron Man 2.

Yeah Extremis is great, I love it but for it to go on film already? I just don't know. I guess they feel the actual suit is becoming stale and they need to make it look awesome? Or they might feel there isn't much for Stark to go through? I disagree but that seems to be the logical explanation. I think we just need more IM & WM action in the 3rd film.

If they loosely base the movie on the Extremis comic book itself (like follow it as close as possible) and how he got it, then it could take some acting chops from RDJ to pull off and it could be great but it still feels too early for it, like it could be done on the 5th film or something and making it this early will be disappointing.

You know when I first saw IM2, after the first scene where he was on stage opening the expo and he went backstage to check his blood, at first I though he was checking his blood alcohol level and thought that was the storyline they were going to go with. But it seemed like the poisoning of his chest piece was forced to tie in with Shield and the Avengers.
They did kind of touched up on his drinking in IM2 when he was partying, I wish that could be a precursor of the following movie it doesn't seem like it now.

Ugh, I hope not. Dudes a good actor but they need to hire someone Asian for Mandarin. Plus I thought Marvel said they want to keep IM strictly mechanical and not deal with magic? Or was that just Favreau?
Madarin got his power from aliens though. wasn't he a scientist or something at first?
Plus dude does look Mandarinish

He is Chinese though and that is integral part of who Mandarin is.

As for his powers, by mechanical I meant they said they wanted to keep it with armors and robots instead of having alien tech that really cannot be explained. I mean come on, 10 rings with 10 different powers? Even if it is from an alien tech, it is still too "magical" than scientific.

^ they have already altered the origin story (granted slightly.. changing the location of the accident and who kidnapped him).. all i really care about is them having quality actors in the roles

also, in iron man 2.. wasn't whiplash basically a combo of crimson dynamo and whiplash from the comics?

Nope, from what I understand they just have the same name but share no relation.
Crimson Dynamo would make a good villain for the 3rd film.

As for actors, there are a lot of good Asian actors. Ben Kingsley is a great actor but come on, this is like what they did to Avatar: The Last Air Bender and what they plan to do with Akira. Mandarin is quintessential Asian. This is coming from a guy who was open minded about the Avatar film but it was just a terrible idea in the end, doesn't help that the film was complete crap though.

Robert Kirkman's Thief of Theives in development at AMC:

From THR

AMC is doubling down on Robert Kirkman.

The cable network is reteaming with The Walking Dead creator/executive producer to develop his newest comic, Thief of Thieves, The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively.
The Image Comics/Skybound title revolves around a master thief with a dual identity who, while struggling to quit the business, opts to steal only what has already been stolen.

Strangely appropriate that a comic structured like TV show, down to the writers' room, might possibly make its way to TV.
