Infinity Gauntlet?

Does that mean Thanos is going to be the villain in The Avengers movie? If so, [Neo] Whoa. [/Neo]

Nothing about the third Nolan Batman? Not even a confirmation that Joseph gordon Levitt is the Riddler?

I seriously hope not, if they make it Thanos with the gauntlet as the villain, I can already guarantee it being very disappointing.
The gauntlet is bigger than the Avengers, it can be the most epic Marvel movie ever with more Marvel heroes casted.

very disappointed with how the avengers cast turned out, but i hope they make it work and make it a great movie.

The Infinity Gauntlet is from the Thor movie.

From IGN:
Oh Marvel, we wish we could quit you. As Comic-Con comes to an end, the studio decided to drop the mic one more time on fans, this time revealing a key prop - a secret weapon - from the Thor movie.

What is it? Thanos' Infinity Gauntlet.

Before the unveiling, an announcer at the booth asked the crowd to "prepare to witness" the Gauntlet, announcing that it will make an appearance in next summer's Thor.

The Gauntlet is one of the most powerful items in the Marvel U. Below, IGN has an image of the Gauntlet on display, alongside its comic book counterpart for reference.

IGN had an exclusive conversation with one of the individuals responsible for creating the Gauntlet, and they told us that it is a key item in Odin's collection, just like the Cosmic Cube is, the one we saw Red Skull searching for in footage from Thor.

Our source also hinted that maybe, just maybe, the Gauntlet will be featured in Joss Whedon's Avengers movie. And no, that doesn't mean that Thanos is the villain (or is he?)

So right now, you're probably asking: "What the hell is an Infinity Gauntlet?" We got you covered.

The IG is one of the most powerful artifacts in the Marvel U; a golden glove forged with six gems that ensure its wearer ultimate and universal power - as long as the glove has all six gems with it.

The gems control a variety of things, such as time and space. Whomever wields the Gauntlet and the six gems can also fulfill wishes. Its power base has ties to the aforementioned Cosmic Cube, in how the cube can manipulate reality.

Judging by the craftsmanship on display, expect the Gauntlet to be more than just a Marvel Easter Egg. Marvel's feature film panel illustrated the studio's mandate to link all of its properties, to create a cohesive universe in comics and on the big screen.

The Infinity Gauntlet is another step in that process.

It's like a dream come true seeing all these Marvel items as live action props.

I'm dissapointed Hank Pym (Ant Man) won't be in it tho.

Also.

A thought about this...

I had a feeling Marvel has been working on this...

I know Sony & Fox still have the rights to X-Men & Spider-Man franchises...But I don't think that will prevent them from showing up in other company's movies.

Money = Makes anything possible.

And with the insane amount of money Disney has already dropped on Marvel, I'm pretty sure they won't hesitate on dropping a few more mil on X-Men & Spider-Man franchises.

Sony & Fox aren't stupid...I don't think they wanna go to war with Disney over this. It's gonna be one of them "Offers they can't refuse" Gangsta!

That shield pic is pretty awesome. I give Marvel props for making the red, white & blue shield not too cheesy at all.

Chris Evans looks pathetic as Captain America. and I do NOT like Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner either. you done Goofed, Marvel

Seriously, I'm not that big of a fan of Marvel, but after some of the stills I've seen and reading up on the development of the Avengers Initiative, I can't wait to see both films. Seeing a collection of superheroes at such a large scale is going to be epic. Sure, X-Men was a great comic book team movie, but having so much of the core of Marvel's roster in one film is going to be another milestone in comic book films.

At this point in time, my list of most anticipated would be:

1. The Avengers Initiative
2. Thor
3. Christopher Nolan's Superman Reboot
4. Batman 3
5. Green Lantern

I wonder if Chris Nolan is gonna keep going with the look of the villians from Lee Bermejo and Brian Azzarello's "Joker" Graphic Novel.

Here's Croc and Penguin.

If it's gonna be a broken down old man playing a psycho mind game playing character for Batman 3...

There's only one way to go...

Tobin Bell.

Seriously. If you're gonna incorporate the Infinity Gauntlet story arc you better have at least 3-4 films to set it up, starting with Silver Surfer and the rest really exploring the Marvel cosmos.

And really, Marvel really dropped the ball on not re-signing Edward Norton as BB. I know there was definite animosity there between Norton and the powers-that-be, but Norton really owned that part in 2008 and should have been given the opportunity to reprise it. Such a shame.

Agreed, Norton would have been great in the Avengers. Ruffalo isn't the worst actor they could get but Norton is just such a great actor.

I do not like Bermejo's Killer Croc or Riddler. I mean I do not want to see another Jim Carrey Riddler but I do not want to deviate too much from the original.
