News On Future Films Based on Comics/Paranormal/Sci-Fi

RFX45 you're extremely optimistic with films
Don't see you ever say that movie looks horrible.

Not true, I try to be optimistic about films that I haven't seen yet. Not liking with some thing from DoFP but some of it looks good, still have doubt with Singer too.

F***!!!

Marvel panel:

It begins outside an alien temple. A man approaches.

The Avengers footage is super quick, featuring lines from the first Avengers.

Slowly, CGI images form of Ultron's face.

Then the title comes up.

AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON!

Woke up and saw my feed filled with that quote from Miller's TDKR. Man, this is just awesome. That was the quote to end all quotes. Imma compose myself now

Might be but does that mean he is the voice only?

And it looks like Thanos is being saved for phase 3.

That or he's really Vision.

So I guess they do AoU then move on to Infinity. Nice move I say.

Still got my head spinnin' on the Batman/Superman news tough

At least we'll be getting Ant-Man in the second film. I'm guessing during the Ant-Man flick, he begins to build Ultron and that serves as a prologue for Age of Ultron.

AntMan film comes out after Avengers 2 though. Antman comes out Nov 6, 2015 while Avengers 2 comes out May 4, 2015.

He'll likely be introduced in A2 (if not earlier in a cameo form) and create Ultron there or Ultron evolves from Jarvis and Antman is the on that find s away to save them?

Personally, it doesn't make sense for GotG to come before the member of the Avengers who played a role in creating their one of their villains especially if said villain is going to be in the next film. Is Pym going to be in Avengers 2?

He probably will or have to be if they want to stay true to the story of him creating Ultron. Maybe he is an independent scientists who created the Ultron army after the Chitauri invasion? He doesn't need to be part of the Avengers initially, he can join after Ultron takes over.

I am a bit confused with GotG now as well with it's release date but I guess they will help against Ultron now? Not as epic or doesn't make as much sense as helping against Thanos but we'd just have to wait and see where this goes. Or maybe they just do not make an appearance in A2 at all and be saved for A3? Maybe one of those mystery Marvel films scheduled for 2016 is a GotG sequel that eventually leads to Thanos? Lots of possibilities out there.

Age of Ultron movie would be perfect to have Wolverine though, he is already traveling through time in DoFP too.

I think GotG plays a big part int the AoU storyline in the comics. Not sure though. Maybe that's the direction they're going with it.

They don't from what I remember, I think StarLord made a small appearance but that is it.

Also, keep in mind that a lot of character they casted for GotG are related to Thanos. They even mentioned it in the trailer they showed in the panel describing Gamora as the adopted daughter of Thanos. Then there is Drax who is made to kill Thanos and The Collector being involved with Thanos as well. Just seems like a very Thanos-centric film.

Hmmm, kinda weird if that's the case. Maybe they decided to go for AoU since the current arc is selling good for them.

It'd be cool if Pym creates ultron but has zero powers and has to be protected from ultron by the avengers and that motivates him to build the ant man suit. kind of like a 2 part origin story

Why is SDCC so much better than NYCC? It seems like NY gets the leftovers compared to what San Diego gets.

Regardless, you figure being in the biggest media market, studios would make a bigger effort in shoeing off what they have in store.

It's tradition being held in San Diego first and the oldest and the largest. Having a bigger media market or city doesn't really matter since people go to the SDCC anyways.

Tradition or not, its silly to cut out a portion of the market because it hasn't ran as long and the numbers aren't big. They still spend money too. Last time I checked, no movies got premiered in San Diego.

Doesn't matter man, it'll take most of the big movie and comic companies to hold off their new stuff and reveal it in NY for that to work and with SDCC being known to be the biggest for decades now, whats the point? People know SDCC and it is the international one, I believe every other is just a regular convention.

NY or LA isn't struggling attracting other conventions and award shows so they aren't missing the income SDCC is bringing in.

And they aren't cutting out a portion of the market, NYCC still get stuff just on a smaller scale w/o the big reveals. Everyone also gets the information that is revealed in San Diego anyways so it really isn't cutting the market. That's just how it works, similar to Detroir AutoShow being the biggest AutoShow in the US that gets the big reveals, it has become synonymous with the city similar to SDCC.

And yes, how big it is does matter because these companies want the most exposure as possible with the most audience that attracts audience from around the world. They also can't spread it out to other conventions because it will water down what makes SDCC special. That is just how it is, it is the pinnacle of nerdom.

Don't know in what "realistic" setting in which superman would need batman's help. MoS made him look invisible. DC is in full on panic mode right now. I can only imagine how furious fans will be when kryptonite pops outta nowhere in that film lol

As for marvel....Ultron on screen will be amazing, cap 2 and Thor 2 should really build up some anticipation and guardians is shaping up really nice
