News On Future Films Based on Comics/Paranormal/Sci-Fi

Plus I'm not even sure it's been confirmed that the Ant Man in the Ant Man movie is going to be Hank Pym. Since in the comics there's been 3 different guys to take up the name.

I believe Wright have been saying Hank Pym and then Scott Lang becomes the AntMan in the end. I remember him talking about the two teaming up as well.
Wow that's cool. I was kinda thinking before the announcement that if Pym was in A2 he'd create Ultron and then die in the end and not Coulson die but really die.

Wright's way is cool too and probably keeps Pym around to be Giant Man or Yellow Jacket or Goliath :lol:l

Thought they would say that Pym was a scientist back during WW2 and built the tech then. He dies or goes missing, it's lost and Eric O'Grady finds it and decides to be a thief blah blah blah becomes a good guy. I can see Wright doing that.
The other dude Scott something was the thief not that Eric wouldn't but he started off as a shield agent that just took some Ant Man equipment Shield took from Pym.

If Eric O'Grady was the Ant Man I'd see this over and over. Especially if they got the action and raunchy comedy right.

Wolverine Origins, I have no idea where it falls since nothing in there makes sense. I think it is suppose to be before X1 but there are too many inconsistency.

The Wolverine (one coming out this week) is supposed to be after X3.

i thought it was during first class time period considering the cameo of him in there in the bar but guess since logan has no memory they can have the story in any year

This is definitely after X3, he has dreams of Jean Grey in the trailers.

His cameo in 1st Class is just an easter egg for the fans. Fox never really thought that far ahead with this franchise.

The last one by far. Look at the detail

They patterned the teeth and expressions after Mark Ruffalo's own. They even went as far as to include body hair, which they hadn't done in previous films.

How could you slap?

Tech improvement and budget likely had a lot to do with the improvement, I swear the first one looked so good and realistic when I saw it on the theater. Second one has that emo type of hair too.

Yeah, I noticed the emo hair. :smh: A thing of the moment I guess.

Did ILM have any involvement in the first two versions?

Incredible Hulk was the Avengers version, they just undercut Ed Norton and went with Mark Ruffalo for the Avengers movie.

I liked the Ed Norton Hulk movie because it was more real and less campy. The Ang Lee/Erica Bana one was ehh. Plus Ed Norton is a great actor.

^ ^ ^
Really not sure who to believe with the Norton issue:

Marvel Studios President of Production Kevin Feige forwarded the following exclusively to HitFix:

"We have made the decision to not bring Ed Norton back to portray the title role of Bruce Banner in the Avengers. Our decision is definitely not one based on monetary factors, but instead rooted in the need for an actor who embodies the creativity and collaborative spirit of our other talented cast members. The Avengers demands players who thrive working as part of an ensemble, as evidenced by Robert, Chris H, Chris E, Sam, Scarlett, and all of our talented casts. We are looking to announce a name actor who fulfills these requirements, and is passionate about the iconic role in the coming weeks."

Brian Swardstrom of WME responds with the following:

"This offensive statement from Kevin Feige at Marvel is a purposefully misleading, inappropriate attempt to paint our client in a negative light. Here are the facts: two months ago, Kevin called me and said he wanted Edward to reprise the role of Bruce Banner in The Avengers. He told me it would be his fantasy to bring Edward on stage with the rest of the cast at ComiCon and make it the event of the convention. When I said that Edward was definitely open to this idea, Kevin was very excited and we agreed that Edward should meet with Joss Whedon to discuss the project. Edward and Joss had a very good meeting (confirmed by Feige to me) at which Edward said he was enthusiastic at the prospect of being a part of the ensemble cast. Marvel subsequently made him a financial offer to be in the film and both sides started negotiating in good faith. This past Wednesday, after several weeks of civil, uncontentious discussions, but before we had come to terms on a deal, a representative from Marvel called to say they had decided to go in another direction with the part. This seemed to us to be a financial decision but, whatever the case, it is completely their prerogative, and we accepted their decision with no hard feelings.

We know a lot of fans have voiced their public disappointment with this result, but this is no excuse for Feige's mean spirited, accusatory comments. Counter to what Kevin implies here, Edward was looking forward to the opportunity to work with Joss and the other actors in the Avengers cast, many of whom are personal friends of his. Feige's statement is unprofessional, disingenuous and clearly defamatory. Mr. Norton talent, tireless work ethic and professional integrity deserve more respect, and so do Marvel's fans.

Lees was by ILM, Nortons was by R&H.

I believe it was money as well as not having egos clash in Norton and Whedon. Remember Norton wrote his Hulk movie only to have Marvel chop it up w/o his approval.

I believe it was money too. Weren't there articles not that long ago talking about renegotiations with Hemsworth, Evans, and them not getting fairly compensated for these ridiculously high grossing films? I think I even read in this thread that they could recast everyone but RDJ. (Not that I believed that part.)

Man.. I have no faith at all in wolverine and days of future past being any good..

I mean singer just came off of 'jack the giant slayer'.. And now he's supposed to pull off one of the most beloved stories in comic history..

I really do hope I'm wrong.. But, my expectations are very low for both films

As much as I like norton, I do wonder if he could have played off of RDJjr as well as ruffalo did..

Do people even read Hulk for Bruce Banner? I don't really care as I just wanna see Hulk tear **** up but people seem to really wanna see more Edward Norton. I'm fine with the little time Ruffalo did in the movie and couldn't really see Norton gelling with the rest of the cast as well as he did.

They're going to continue to make these subpar and confusing X-Men movies until some of the cast dies then just reboot it again.

Yeah those guys were being shafted and hoping RDJ joins them in the boycott. Marvel is stuck with those guys though, at this point, it'll be too difficult to bring in a new face for those part. They have become synonymous with those characters, while not to the degree of Bale-as-Batman-love, it is still what people have been accustomed to. They won't make RDJ money but they'll get more than what they are being offered, which was about $500k increase bringing their earnings to $1.5-$2mil for A2 each iirc.

I liked X1 and X2. Hated the 3rd one like everyone else. First Class wasn't bad but should've been planned out better. The sequel seems like it'll be a mind**ck and give me a headache. Origins was a joke. We'll see how Logan Lost in Translation will be. Their handling of certain characters makes people shake their heads.

Thinking about how interesting Blade 2 could have been if Morbius was the villain like the original plan. Also was reading about the original screenplay for Trinity and the studio really blew it. It was set a few decades after the second one with the vampires ruling the human population. It was deemed too dark.

I really enjoyed Ang Lee's Hulk, but not the final fight. I thought the final fight ruined the movie. Lee's Hulk showed so much realism and detail. I loved how he got bigger when he got more angry.
The Incredible Hulk would've been way better if they weren't so animated with the hulk. I was not impressed on how it looked.
Avenger's Hulk is probably my favorite because Ruffalo actually looks like a hulk face-wise.

just like people wanted Man of Steel to have more Daily Planet, jenny backstory lol

and omg at how horrendous blade trinity was

i was expecting big things smh
