News On Future Films Based on Comics/Paranormal/Sci-Fi

Weird seeing that there will be a Lobo movie. You guys think he'll make an appearance in other dc movies? I'm trying to picture him arriving on his motorcycle and Superman with a wtf look on his face. Doesn't seem like he'd fit in that movie environment.

Gerard Butler?

I do wish Del Toro would make the Lobo film to be honest. he already plans on doing dark JL so why not start with the DC world with Lobo?

Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Watchmen, The Losers) wanted to play Lobo at one point. I'm not sure if he's attached to the project anymore but he would be perfect for the role.

I saw the wolverine tuesday night. Solid.
I saw the clip of Wolverine at the airport meeting with 2 familiar mutants, but is there another scene after that one, like after the credits?

No, that airport scene is what you needed to see.

I read that Sndyer might want him as the next Bruce Wayne.

I've literally never, ever, heard of Lobo. For that, I worry about DC greatly.

Honestly I only know him from the Superman cartoon from back in the day. Really never knew much outside of that

You guys don't know the main man!?!?!?!?!

 @ yall thinking DC would okay a Lobo movie at the pace they're going. That's a crazy risk.

I'm not even full confident a Deadpool movie would do #s so aint no chance DC trots out Lobo.

He has the look especially for an "aged" Bruce Wayne. I thought he was good in The Losers as a strategist and leader. I could see him as the older guy in the future JLA film leading the team.

The problem I have with casting an older Batman, is that I still want to see a solo Batman film. Would these actors be to old to do several stand alone films?

Speaking of Star Wars...

'The Star Wars' Trailer Offers Look At George Lucas' Original Vision

"Longer Ago, in a Galaxy Even Farther Away…"

That's the tagline that introduces a video trailer Oregon-based Dark Horse Comics have released to promote next month's launch of The Star Wars, an eight-issue series adapted by writer J.W. Rinzler and artist Mike Mayhew from the near-mythical first draft of George Lucas' script for Star Wars, written three years before the eventual release of the movie and featuring a significantly different take on the cast and plot of the now-familiar story.

The original script -- and Dark Horse's attendant comic -- features General Luke Skywalker and newcomer Annikin Starkiller joining forces to combat the Galactic Empire, with other fan-favorite characters even more changed from their eventual, iconic, forms (The most eye-opening of which may be Han Solo as a green-skinned "mysterious pirate" of uncertain allegiance). According to artist Mayhew, The Star Wars is "the greatest 'what if?' story ever in comics."

The first issue of The Star Wars is released in comic stores and through Dark Horse's digital store on September 4. Watch the trailer below, courtesy of Dark Horse and USA Today.

This right here....

Get somebody in their early 30's Batman started in his early 20's a guy in his 30's can play Batman for 10 years...

Unless they want to go for The Dark Knight Returns look.....

Since it's an older Batman I don't think there'll be a stand alone. Probably just gonna throw him in MOS 2 and then JLA. They'll probably start fresh after that eventually.

The more I think about it, the more I get pissed. Batman >>>>> Superman as a character and it doesn't seem they're gonna do him justice. Just throw the entire check book at Nolan and Bale. The box office numbers would be insane.

Why can't Superman exist in Nolan's Gotham? How was Superman and Batman introduced in the comics?

Because Nolans Batverse is more realistic, a meta human or alien or any supernatural being does not exist in that world. Nolanverse is just too grounded in reality.
