News On Future Films Based on Comics/Paranormal/Sci-Fi

Give it up already. They had their batman trilogy and it's over. Time for some new blood and new film interpretations of the character. I'd like to see some villains with actual powers.

They could keep some connections to the Nolan Batman if they want. Just say the same events happened (he fought Ra's, Joker, Bane, and Talia) but differently and in a context that could allow for **** like aliens and meta humans. Even add **** like shortly after he fought Mr. Freeze or Killer Croc. Then of course switch that bull **** happy ending with Catwoman screwing him over again and he returned to Gotham. Oh and Robin John Blake died trying to be Batman during Bruce's vacation by the hands of the villain in the next Batman movie...... Hush/Black Mask/Man-Bat/Poison Ivy.

FTR, I don't want Nolan back directing/writing Batman movies. Let somebody else do it cuz there's much to be improved on. If Bale is back, cut the bs voice out and actually give dude material that will actually display his true acting ability.

Come on now.

Even if I give you that there are things that can be improved, not more than 1-2 directors out there that could surpass what Nolan did. Just handing it to somebody else won't make it great.

700

great execution sir

It's not that anyone can do better its that we saw what Nolan did and there's much to be improved upon. If somebody else comes on chances are they're not going to just copy Nolan.

Latino Review reporting Bryan Cranston is another actor in the running to play Lex!

See it as WB likes to work with actors in the WB family. Cranston was in Argo so this makes total sense, aside from the fact he's a great actor. Just increases the likelihood of him taking this role. I just don't want another Lex on film where he's after real estate.

I like both choices but if I were to pick one, I'd pick Strong just because he looks younger. I don't really want a Luthor that looks like he is in his late 50s, Strong still looks like he is in his late 30s/early 40s.

Mark Strong would be a good choice. He was good as Blackwood in that Sherlock movie and in Kick-*** 2, where his character was kind of a bootleg or a mash of Luthor, King Pin, and other comic villains. He just has that look about him too.

I feel like Mark Strong is the best choice to make Lex look formidable and not campy. Im tired of campy lex. Great actors but Gene Hackman and Kevin Spacey made him a joke.

 Billy Zane.

Son does such low budget straight to going out of business video store movies. I always get a kick out of seeing dude in movies that I never heard of.

It's crazy cuz when Cranston grows his hair back, he looks younger.
 That would be wild.

That's the most sensible option in my opinion. I think it could work. I don't see a problem with introducing the Christian Bale Batman into new supernatural allies and enemies.

They can use an established Batman for the Justice League without needing to make more Batman movies. They could easily make the pitch to Bruce in the films of a bigger danger that could effect the entire planet.

Bale as batman is the best option. Regardless if Nolan wanted his trilogy to just be a trilogy his batman films are too iconic and too fresh on the minds of this generation to try and cast another batman so soon

They said similar about the Spidey reboot. I don't buy it at all. So freshness is rather irrelevant. Get use to the James Bond approach for superheroes. Batman is iconic on his own. He'll always be iconic. Nolan's Batman wasn't iconic, it was just the best and most successful Batman movies to date.

The problem for MOS2/Batman vs. Superman won't be who they cast as Batman (and everyone wanting Bale's version :x :smh: ) it'll simply be how good the story and script is and if the director allows the actors to act.

anybody know how much bale got for the other movies?
I'm thinking around half that recent offer by the 3rd film. Begins was probably his usual movie rate, w/e that may be.
