News On Future Films Based on Comics/Paranormal/Sci-Fi

Even Stan Lee said he aint like Doctor Doom. Said the actr was good but the character in the film was wack

I was just talking about the choice of actors for those roles.. The movies were terrible

First one had moments that worked.. But it could have easily been a better movie.. And the 2nd one, good lord I have no idea how they thought anything about that was a good idea

Loced punisher War zone

TAS gets worse and worse with each viewing

I really hope they turn captain america into the beast he is in the comics
whats TAS???

The Amazing Spiderman

i believe that's a photo of Lot 6 at the studio and they just added the Sinister part for ***** and giggles during production.. We're not getting S6 is they even go that route until ASM4.... Hopefully. This film is supposed to be riddled with clues to future villains too.

I don't think carnage was ever in SS and the only time Venom was in it (that i can recall) he tried to kill all the members. IMO They're either going Sinister Six or Maximum Carnage in this series. They can probably include both in an altered way and still make it work.

Since Webb is creating an entire universe I hope after AG is done they just recast and keep it moving. Reboots gotta stop B

We'll never see the Spawn remake or reboot of the animated series with Todd McFarlane at the helm. This guy is terrible at managing these properties. The cartoon has been done for a number of years and its not even online. He doesn't care.

With the popularity of superhero films and reboots nowadays, I can see them doing one for Spawn.

IMAGE has a bunch of comic properties they can use on film.

Sinister Six looks promising. Thor, ASM2, and Capt. America is what I'm looking for.

In Whdeon we trust but is he changing too much with Ultron? First not being created by AntMan and then this? I mean it makes sense but I hope it doesn't deviate too much from the books. I'd hate Ultron to be just a sentient IronMan.

Joss Whedon On How ULTRON Will Differ From The Comics In THE AVENGERS 2

“I knew right away what I wanted to do with him. He’s always trying to destroy the Avengers, goddamn it, he’s got a bee in his bonnet. He’s not a happy guy, which means he’s an interesting guy. He’s got pain. And the way that manifests is not going to be standard robot stuff. So we’ll take away some of those powers because at some point everybody becomes magic, and I already have someone [a new character, Scarlet Witch] who’s a witch."

The director adds that he intends to “to ground [the character] while still evoking that guy.” And it seems that it's Ultron's intense rage that makes him such a big fan. “As a character I love [Ultron], because he’s so pissed off.”

Ultron's true origins seem a little cheesy for modern film

Further flashbacks reveal that he is the creation of Henry Pym, and based on Pym's brain patterns. The robot gradually developed its own intelligence and rebelled, and almost immediately suffers from an Oedipus Complex, whereby it feels irrational hatred for his "father" Hank, and demonstrates an interest in Hank's lover Janet van Dyne, the Wasp. Rebuilding itself, learning how to turn itself on, and upgrading five times, Ultron then hypnotizes Pym and brainwashes him into forgetting that the robot had ever existed.[4]

I mean it's not a bad origin for a comic character but people might laugh at the film depiction of robot love. Would seem too cheesy and most rushed scenes of a character "falling in love" with another in short time frames are laughable. IE: Padme and Anakin from star wars falling in love and running through fields of flowers and play fighting and then 10 mins later we get into more intense scenes of lightsaber battles and people dying. Its hard to translate well on film.

I get what you are saying and I can get on board with Stark creating him and getting a cliche robot mentality that tries to take over because humans are flawed or whatever but Whedon is also stripping him of his power to make the film less "magical" because Scarlet Witch is in it? There is already Thor and the Chitauri with Thanos and Ultron really is just a robot and power is more technology so I don't really think he needed to be toned down or grounded.

it's possible sony may go for the sinister route. Marvel has the avengers, fox has xmen/f4, so sony has to do some collaboration within one character's universe

Im not reading the thread to see if this has been posted but Elizabeth Olson (Mary Kate and & Ashley's younger sister) is in the lead to be casted as Avengers Age of Ultron's Scarlet Witch and the guy who plays Kick-*** is supposed to be Quicksilver.

I approve :smokin
Avengers Movies all have a sick cast except for Bruce Banner. Should've kept Edward Norton.

P.S. Elizabeth Olsen can get it with ease.

Wait there is a Justice League Dark Movie? DC is planning these movies far ahead of time then. Superman/Batman is 2015, The Flash 2016, Justice League 2017. I am guessing JLD would be 2018?

I would say Magik needs to be introduced to X-Men universe but fox would just **** it up.
Inhumans needs its own movie like I have said before.

Spawn was ahead of its time, can't even throw shade on that film, I liked it.

I liked it too. Not familiar with the comics at all though.

Sinister Six looks promising. Thor, ASM2, and Capt. America is what I'm looking for.

Superman/Batman
Guardians of the Galaxy
Thor: The Dark World
Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Justice League Dark is just a film Del Toro wants to make, there really isn't much traction on it as far as I know. I think Del Toro would like to finish the Hellboy trilogy first if possible.

I think he is also producing a Hulk tv show, not sure how close they are to the pilot or if it's done already.

The real question I have is when are they rebooting batman? Or is MoS 2 considered a Batman reboot?

Spiderman ticket sales went down when they rebooted the series. Again I attribute it to seeing the same story twice (in most people's eyes). Even if Batman does the origin aspect, it's sales will not decline. I am almost positive!

Also I agree with Zatanna being introduced to DCCU. So should Supergirl. One of the few DC Characters that interest me. Can someone tell me the full extent of her powers? Who would win in a fight between her and Scarlet Witch?

Superman vs Batman will have a new Batman (different from Nolans) but I don't think it can be considered a reboot. It is still a Superman sequel and I think it has to stay that way than following Bruce/Batman. They are trying to cast an older Bruce so he will be established in that film.

At this point, Batman doesn't really need a new origins film like ASM did, everyone already knows what he did and the next film should just assume their audience is smart enough. Like Burtons Batman, it wasn't really an origin, he was already Batman and just touched up on his past.

If they are forgoing with a JLA film in the next 3-4 years, then a Batman reboot might not happen after since they also plan a Flash film. DC/WB could always release two films in one year but I am not sure they have the same capital as Marvel being owned by Disney now, or DC/WB just feels its too much money and too risky. I can just see Superman v Batman film being followed by Flash and them they all converged to a JLA film, then maybe make a solo Batman film that just follows JLA kind of like how Marvels characters are dealing with the events from the Avengers in phase 2.
