News On Future Films Based on Comics/Paranormal/Sci-Fi

I used to know of a video game forum in which you needed to apply to post. Wish i still new it because those are a bunch of purist.

I don't even know what a fashion purist is. It just seems like those who are really into it or in the industry can be snobby.

Find a fashion forum, post your outfit for the day, and you will find out what a fashion purist is.

If Green Lantern gets rebooted, I would love to see Chris Pine as GL or Flash

Or use the GL reboot as continuation to the 2011 film; have the villain be yellow lantern Sinestro (Mark Strong from the first) and bring Idris Elba as John Stewart alongside Hal Jordan.

I definitely see Chris Pine as Flash, fun and light character. Thinking about it now Idris Elba would be the perfect Martian Manhunter.

As for Green Lantern I see him as the "Hulk" in the DC cinematic universe. All the hulk movies were stinkers until Avengers. DC should try to re-invent the character and steal the show in the film. Maybe have Chadwick Boseman from 42 (another WB film) play Jon Stewart.

Do you remember when the Rock said he would entertain the possibility of playing Black Adam in a movie? xD
Idk why, but a Shazam/Captain marvel movie would be a must watch for me
Too bad he's too similiar to Superman

Bale was never offered 50 million, it was all hypothetical

“’Why would Christian Bale walk away from what is certainly going to be either the first or second highest grossing movie in the history of cinema,” he asked, when the subject of Justice League was raised. … ‘He could probably make $50 million for being in the movie 20 minutes,’ my friend observed. ‘And it would be worth every penny to the studio.’ … Sources close to Christian Bale have reportedly begun expressing their suspicions that Bale now views the Batman films in the same light that Robert Downey, Jr. views the Iron Man films. Although Downey has appeared as Tony Stark in four films in less than a decade, he’s hardly typecast as only Iron Man. Downey has balanced his action film escapades with other projects that have harnessed his talents and earned critical acclaim in the process. … Christian Bale’s future success as a Hollywood draw may need Batman every bit as much as the Batman franchise needs Bale for a few more rounds. … It goes without saying that Bale’s managers, friends, and representatives are all telling him the same. And as anyone who has ever worked with Bale will admit, the actor is incredibly sharp, business savvy, and perceptive. As a result, it seems highly unlikely that Christian Bale will bolt from Batman when the bat signal is still glimmering above the Hollywood sign with such tangible fervor.”

Doctor Strange is an older dude. WAY older than anyone JGL could portray.
he's mid 30s in the Ultimate universe

That's cuz the DC universe is originally made of like a dozen other comic company superheroes who originally had their own universes and it was only until Marvel did it successfully that they had a shared universe as well.

Originally Shazam/Captain Marvel was the only Superman pastiche that was more successful than him with the kids for obvious reasons.

They are still pretty much all the same regardless of whatever excuses they have. Really why i could never get into DC.

Everyone is younger in ultimate universe. No seriously almost everyone. Storm just started adulthood ffs. Also stories are modernized. Spiderman was bit by a genetically engineered spider and his job is to run the online pr or something like that.

If ironman is 40ish in cinematic universe strange has to be older.

He doesn't have to be. No signs of dude at all. Plus they can always throw in some magic youth spell to explain it all away.

we dont know he wasnt offered that just because rumors say he wasnt

im willing to bet he was offered that and turned it down or was trying to play hardball until they upped the offer but instead they turned to afleck.

They were desperate and no doubt in my mind they would be desperate enough to offer that amount.

bale was probably one of those snobby actors who fear of being typecast and lesbian honest.... in the casual fan's eye when you think of christian bale what do you think of?

also if he were to do this movie it wouldnt have been just a one and done. there would have to be more sequels because i do not think wb would recast another batman with a story arc that will be linked to mos2.

we don't know if the initial rumor had any validity so that's a dumb statement. I don't know if you've read the article but all this originated from an ebook some Everyday Joe/fanboy wrote and is selling for $2.50 It got picked up by a British tabloid then the net went crazy... there were zero sources involved just one man's speculation and his attempt to garner book sells.. The full synopsis of the book online is word for word the excerpt they posted on EW

I'm pretty sure DC approached bale with the idea sometime around the time of last year when TDKR was releasing and the actors were making their global runs promoting the movie. A lot of the questions toward bale were if he would ever put the cowl back on and he always left his answers somewhat open ended but kept reiterating that Nolan had a story to tell and this would be the end of the story. I think during them they were trying to persuade him but either the script wasn't to his liking (if their was even a script then) the money wasn't enough (whatever the amount was) or the whole typecast issue came about. I still think if bale came back as batman and agreed to do a couple more films DC would be giving marvel a slight run for the money now with all this news I'm just hoping this isn't the film that collapses the DC cinematic universe

Quick analysis: I'm watching avengers as we speak and I'm just now realizing the references to what shield was referring to as "phase 2". Even the shadowy figures were telling fury to start the prototype for phase 2 and this is all in the first 20 mins of the film so with that being said.....DOES SHIELD CREATE ULTRON IN A2, as opposed to the rumors that tony stark will create him?

I don't see why Hank Pym can't create him. He doesnt have to be introduced. This is a universe. Things can happen without being mentioned. Also don't see why he can't be introduced as his creator in Avengers 2. Some of the decisions they make for these comic book movies make no sense.

This is what I posted a couple pages back:

I'd prefer if somehow the guys behind the scenes of shield created him, the guys on the screens fury had to answer to.. Just like how they didn't completely stand behind fury and the idea of the avengers.. And then launched the nuke at the end of the movie..

Then you have how they acted at the end of avengers when fury told them about giving thor the cube and Loki.. And when fury said the avengers where going their own way..

It was shown in avengers that shield was collecting tech and building weapons.. What if they built this unstoppable machine with the mindset that they could control it..

What if they took Tony's AI intelligence (jarvis) when they had access to his house (iron man2).. And Colston was able to override Jarvis in avengers..

I can't see tony creating something he wouldn't be able to control or eventually create something better

Phase 2 in the Avengers film was SHIELDs weapons program, the one ROgers discovered to be based on HYDRAs weapon that harnessed the tesseracts energy. They had huge arguments about it int he film when JARVIS hacked in the helicarriers computer, Stark specifically asked Fury about.

Same thing I said when they announced he won't be in Avengers 2. These heads are too smart for their own good. Common sense and connecting dots evades them at times.

by leave it open you mean "If Chris is directing.." because that's all i ever remember him saying.. I'm sure they approached him but he seems like the type to stick to his guns. I doubt money was that big of the issue, if anything he could probably get a hefty amount of dough on the backend...

he just seems like he has closure with the character.. He has a nice load of film lined up and I'm sure he doesn't want to commit to the obligations of these types of films again. You could always tell he hated every minute of doing press

Even though I'm not sold on Batffleck (although I'm hoping he does good) I'd be completely shocked if the MOS sequel featuring Batman flops. It can be another bad story with a lot of good action, hell it could even be outright terrible on all fronts but a flop? At that point I'd legitimately feel bad for DC and hope WB let SONY or NBCuniversal or another media conglomerate outright buy the movie rights and the publishing company.

I will keep in mind their two most popular franchises should be reaching near a billion in gross if not passing that given the recent Batman trilogy and solid showing of MOS.

 Still laughing at all ps jobs refusing to remove dudes 5'o'clock shadow.

As for Bale, I'm just gonna assume they made him and offer and he knew better and had simply moved on. Not gonna believe or get in to whether the offer was 50 mil or not. Nobody knows but him and the company and I doubt either will reveal any time soon.

Maybe we see Bale in the future as a superhero or even super villain. I know he'd be great at the latter.
