BREAKING NEWS: (I'm still waiting on the official word but, various reports are saying...)

BRYAN CRANSTON CAST AS LEX LUTHOR

As Cosmic Book News previously was informed, Lex Luthor has been cast in the Man of Steel sequel that will feature Ben Affleck as Batman and Henry Cavill as Superman. Now we have been told a batch of new details, on top of why Affleck was chosen as Batman. Bryan Cranston has been cast as Lex Luthor in what is said to be at least a six "appearance" deal (think of Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury popping up in every Marvel movie in the run-up to Avengers) and may be as high as ten. Look for the official announcement to follow the conclusion to the final season of Breaking Bad as WB wants to dovetail off the end of that. Regarding Ben Affleck, we are told he has allegedly a 13-appearance deal for Batman. DC is going to have all of their main characters liberally appearing or at least mentioned in all of their movies to portray a more connected world than what Marvel Studios has done so far. DC also does have major interest in bringing Matt Damon into the Justice League now that Affleck is on board, and it is rumored that he is being considered for Aquaman or Martian Manhunter. Regarding Mark Strong playing Lex Luthor, the one thing that worked a bit against him was that he was already Sinestro -- and still could be again. "Cranston truly is a dream casting for Luthor," we're told.

Yah that Cranston news has been posted and it is more than 2 days old and no ther new source are reporting it so at this point, my guess is it isn't true until SHH or CBM at least reports it.

All the Hollywood insiders say to never buy any news stories from Comsic Book News.

Apparently they just take emails containing scoops and rumors and run with them as confrimed stories.

Jamie Foxx as Spawn???? I'm in!

At Fan Expo Canada, Todd McFarlane said the movie studio has set an end of the year deadline for him to complete the Spawn movie script. Said McFarlane, "The reality is I’ve got a lot of pressure. They want me to deliver the script by the end of the year, which would basically mean we’d be shooting next year. So that’s the goal right now.” It's previously been discussed that Academy Award winner and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 villain, Jamie Foxx, is really keen to play the lead in the film so there is some star power attached. McFarlane confirmed as much, adding, "We’ve had some big names, like who you’re mentioning, come to the office and go we want to be in it. Sometimes they give me their pitch, and I give them my pitch, and I go we can get in it, here’s how it goes. And so those types of actors, Academy Award guys, they’re going, ‘As soon as that script’s done, we’re going.’ So once we get this thing done, we’ll get it off the ground with some big names.”

Now I understand why that one dude is always mad about McFarlane saying he's been stalling for years. Those quotes didn't lean to a lot of optimism. He just stated how things are and made it seem like he has a lot of work to do.

I get why he's doing it on his own though.

Scarlett originally wasnt going to do this movie so The Wasp was written in in the script instead. It makes sense that in the original story boards the wasp is drawn in. Not sure if they actually casted wasp though. But the writer admitted he is a big fan of wasp.

Wasp definitely should have been in the Avengers movie. Do they even plan on having her in Ant-Man's film?

There's no reason Wasp shouldn't have been in it. Even though all members were previously introduced, they could have put her in. Not big on Black Widow largely because she doesn't really add anything.

Widow was just in it for eye candy but they could've cast someone really hot as Wasp.

i would have rathered ant-man to have been in the film to some degree.. doesnt necessarily have to have had actually been ant-man, but some reference to hank pym would have been good

not the biggest fan of wasp's powers.. i see the potential to cast a really hot chick, but that's about it..

^ ^ ^
They haven't even announced which AntMan they are starring.

If it is Pym, then I think she is essential. However, if it is Lang, then they could do w/o her.

I do hope they use both, it was speculated earlier that it would start with Pym and end with the mantle being handed to Lang.

We shall see...

^ they have to start with pym.. Right?!?!

He did invent the damn thing.. Then passed it onto Lang

He would make an appearance, other reports also has it Pym dying early on in the film, maybe a flashback and then it would lead to Scott Langs story.

Some also guess the main will be Lang by the way Edgar Wright has described the character.

This isn't exactly a huge bombshell — we'd sort of assumed that Pym would turn up in Ant-Man. But given that Wright has described Ant-Man as a film about a "badass secret agent" in the past, it seems reasonable to imagine the film's main character will be Scott Lang, the reformed criminal who inherits the Ant-Man headgear and identity. You could theoretically do an Ant-Man movie in which Scott Lang gets the Ant-Man gear from Stark International, where he actually worked at one point in the comics. Or just have him find it in a storage locker on the SHIELD helicarrier, the way Eric O'Grady did.

Gee.. I know I'm not the biggest fan of the wasp.. Ad find her to be kinda a liability to the team..

But I like the aspect that pym brings to things.. Would love to see another scientist on the team to banter with tony and Bruce..

But would love to see how his whole pacifist thing would play over with the group
