News On Future Films Based on Comics/Paranormal/Sci-Fi

Huh, interesting. DCs response to Agents of SHIELD.

Fox Moving Ahead With GOTHAM TV Series; Will Focus On "Detective" Gordon Before BATMAN

Just minutes after the first episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. aired on ABC, Warner Bros. have released a piece of news - via Deadline - which should have little to no trouble in stealing the spotlight! In what is being described as "one of the biggest drama deals this season", Fox has nabbed the rights to Gotham and have already given the show - from Warner Bros. and Mentalist creator Bruno Heller - a series commitment. However, rather than focusing on Batman (who will NOT be a part of the series) or any of his superpowered allies, the show will tell the story of a young Commissioner James Gordon. While it's likely that we'll see some familiar faces from the DC Universe, Gotham will feature a young Gordon as a detective before he meets the Caped Crusader and takes control of the police department. The seemingly official logline states that it will tell, "the origin stories of Commissioner James Gordon and the villains that made Gotham famous."

This is kind of awesome having shows that supplement the movie universe. I like this trend, provided the content is solid.

I didn't even catch on that it's going to be on FOX. Thought it was gonna be on CW and then I was gonna just write it off.

Too bad there wasn't a 3rd big comic book company. Newscorp could've bought that and had their own movies and tv shows for themselves instead of haggling for shows and giving a piece of the movies they make back to Marvel. Plus all the X-Men fans would stop whining.

Since it's on FOX I'm definitely checking out a young Gordon in Gotham. Should be a real good detective show.

^ It's nothing special.

Just a bunch of sound clips from the first Avengers and it pulls back to reveal a rendering of Ultron's head, then the Avengers 2 logo streaks out of his eye.

Constantine TV Show coming to NBC :D :smokin

Produced by Goyer= :x :smh:

CONSTANTINE Television Series Heading To NBC; MAN OF STEEL's David S. Goyer To Produce

Deadline has revealed that John Constantine is heading to the small screen on NBC, with Warner Bros. TV and DC Comics developing the project with writer and executive producer Daniel Cerone (The Mentalist). David S. Goyer will also serve as a producer. Like the recently launched "The New 52" series, the TV show will be called Constantine. According to the site, it will focus on: "John Constantine, an enigmatic and irreverent con man-turned-reluctant supernatural detective who is thrust into the role of defending us against dark forces from beyond."

DC/WB just kinda trying stuff out now but it's cool. Constantine has a cult following. He's cool it can be great if done right.

Since they're trying stuff, DC/WB can make me happy by starting a tv series for The Question though :smokin on HBO :D

Waiting for people to say DC doing the Marvel thing even though they started it with Lois & Clark, Smallville, and Arrow.

I like it that DC/WB is being more aggressive with these new shows though and not just throwing it all on CW hoping it sticks (see Birds of Prey).

Hellblazer is greatly appreciated.

And yeah, The Question would be awesome. Conspiracies galore!

Agree. When it comes to TV and animated movies, DC/WB is definitely ahead.

Disney knows how to create hype I will give them that.

I'm still waiting on the news about Ant-man's role in the film and if it will be Hank Pym. That'll make or break the movie imo.

I feel like they simply HAVE to have ant-man introduced in AoU and they knew this since the beginning.

"Dude where were YOU the whole movie!?"

Legit tears, Honest Trailers rarely ever disappoints

You know what we need for 2015? More big blockbuster movies!!!
