^Well Ultron's real story wasn't broke and they should not have "fixed" it

I agree.. But that would take more than 1 movie to do it justice..

Or at least hank pym creating him needs to be a subplot in one movie.. Then have ultron begin to turn at the end and then he's set up perfectly for the next movie

Nobody really cares about Ant Man enough to tie him in to the Avengers movie. It's not about it being broke, it's about if it's even worth it to attempt. Which it really isn't.

Even in the comics Ant Man (Hank Pym) is pretty lame and is mostly known for hitting his wife and creating an all powerful genocidal robot. No need to bring that baggage to the comics universe.

You can tell Whedon feels that way given that early scripts and story boards had the Wasp part of the team but still didn't have Hank Pym in it, meaning she probably was able to become small some other way (in the UU she's a mutant, they probably would've and will go the scientific accident route/or make her a SHIELD agent/experiment whenever she shows up in the movies).

I expected that it would be the government or shield that created Ultron. The tony stark idea would've put too much lime light on tony Starks character (as if their isn't enough already) plus with this route they can end up making a deeper backstory for Ultron to where his concept came from hank pym and the government bought it or something to that degree..

I don't like ant man either but Ultron is cool. Don't even see why they are making an Ant-Man movie. There are plenty of other under the radar characters they can use.

To follow comic books exactly would take a couple movies no matter what story arc is selected.

Imo they should've just touched base on who ant-man is and show that he created the Ultron A.I. Like they did in the recent AoU event. Then not used the character at all after that.

Superhero movies should try two movies in a short amount of time like Kill Bill did. With talks about a Planet Hulk movie that would be the only way to do it. World War Hulk could be a seperate movie down the line if they choose to go that direction

I just like the element he adds to the avengers world.. Him being a pacifist on a team that is called upon when these extremely volatile situations arise.. You have spies, scientist, a super soldier and thor.. Hank truly being the only one trying to find an alternative to fighting

Ultron was made with the best intentions.. However, ultron 6's AI took that purpose to the extreme believing only one true way to accomplish that objective..

They could even go the "the avengers earth's mightiest heroes" where ultron is needed to help fight along side the avengers.. And hank is forced to introduce the concept of "violence" to ultron's AI

Evan Peters on Quicksilver in X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST
by Joey Paur

American Horror Story's Evan Peters is playing Quicksilver in Bryan Singer's X-Men: Days of Future Past. It will be interesting to see the different versions of this character in this movie and in Joss Whedon's Avengers: Age of Ultron. In a recent interview with IGN, Peters talked about the character he plays and the technology used to bring him to life on the big screen. When talking about the speed effect he said,

"They used motion capture. I don’t know what I can say about it and not get in trouble, I really don’t. But they shot a lot of slow motion. They brought in an amazing camera, the Phantom -- it’s, like, 3600 frames per second. They brought in these huge, bright lights and did some amazing, amazing stuff with it. I’m excited to see it all cut together and check all that out. It’s going to be really cool."

The actor went on to explain that his character will get to spend time with Hugh Jackman's Wolverine and James McAvoy's Professor X in the 1970s part of the film. He also describes the character as being a "twitchy" teenager, which is different from how the character is portrayed in the comics. When talking about the changes in the film he said,

"Bryan Singer has a lot of creative freedom on these X-Men movies -- he can do pretty much whatever he wants with them. There’s always that risk, but I think at the end of the day, you want to try to make the best movie you can. You kinda gotta go with your gut on that."

He goes on to discuss Avengers: Age of Ultron, which will have a completely different version of Quicksilver. When asked what he thought of it he said,

"Well, my character can’t be in The Avengers. It’s going to be a different one. It won’t be me, it’ll be someone else. But yeah, I didn’t focus too much on it. I mean, what an amazing opportunity to be a part of X-Men. I’m gonna try to do the best job that I can and not let anyone down. That was pretty much where I was at with it. I just thought it was really cool to be a part of all the special effects stuff and the movies that I grew up loving. It’s awesome."

The movie comes out on May 23rd, 2014, and Evans seems like he was perfectly cast for the part he's playing.

Yeah man, I never cared about Ant-Man until I actually gave his stories and try and they're actually very well done, although I enjoyed Irredeemable Ant-Man the most because that's exactly how I would be if I was a superhero

Also, PreProduction starts this month. Wright tweeted this pic from what, I'm assuming, was the test footage shoot

Its the antman costume but they really need to announce the casting for it already.

Elizabeth Olsen Joins The Avengers: Age of Ultron
Samuel L. Jackson confirms Olsen's involvement in Avengers 2.
by Chris Tilly
October 3, 2013

Samuel L. Jackson today confirmed that Elizabeth Olsen has joined the cast of The Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Speaking to the Wall Street Journal, the star – who plays Nick Fury in the Marvel movies – said “I know we’re shooting in London, that James Spader is Ultron and going to be the bad guy, and that we added Ms Olsen, but I don’t know what she’s doing, if she’s on the inside or the outside. I haven’t seen a script.”

Olsen was previously in talks to play Scartlet Witch in the movie, so it now looks like that’s a done deal.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron his screens worldwide in the summer of 2015.

I kinda laughed at Fox pushing the show cuz I didn't find the pilot interesting. I'll check out the following eps on demand.

Shorty was growing on me.

And Aaron Taylor-Johnson is the official Quicksilver of Avengers 2

Perhaps spurred on by Samuel L. Jackson's accidental confirmation of Elizabeth Olsen as the Scarlet Witch yesterday, long-rumored frontrunner (get it? GET IT?) Aaron Taylor-Johnson has been confirmed as her brother Quicksilver in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Since basically the two people who have always been rumored to be most likely to get the roles now have the roles, this isn't Earth-shattering news. But I am curious about how the mutant Avengers (who cannot be called mutants thanks to Fox having a lockdown on the X-Men franchise) will be portrayed. I'm not deadset on them having Eastern European accents — the rumor is that they'll have an English accent, but I have no idea how valid that is — but I'm going to be weirdly upset if Quicksilver isn't rocking his silver hair.

We get quicksilver and Scarlett witch, OG avengers I get it. But we can't get panther or antman?

We'll never see a Black Panther movie imo. He should have been introduced seeing that Captain America uses a vibranium shield.

There is a solo AntMan movie coming, what are you talking about? Solo movie > being introduced in an ensemble film.

^Wow. The promos didn't interest me one bit for Sleepy Hollow. I guess I have to give it a try.

I cant get into agents of shield. I tried watching but ehhh

And they cant call him quicksilver but they are still riding with this idea? Homie must really have a chubby for those two characters.

I do find it hilarious that writers of dofp rained on whedon's quicksilver parade by including the character in dofp but then whedon goes and cast taylor johnson, the main star in kick ***, while xmen's quicksilver is evan peters, dude with just a small supporting role in kick *** lol

Yeah but when you think antman, you think avengers. To me he was never a big (or that interesting) of a character to stand alone. They could've used that production money they're using for antman on another hulk film....or give Ed Norton the money he was looking for in the first place

What? I thought they could call him that just not reference him being Magneto's son and being a mutant
