News On Future Films Based on Comics/Paranormal/Sci-Fi

God do you ever approve of anything DC does? :lol:

Don Jon was a pretty good film and just a year ago everyone wants this dude to be Batman and not all the hate will come pouring in simply because it's a DC/WB film and JGL isn't Batman? :smh:

I just hate how DC is approaching their films. Though granted I am judging prematurely...

But the approach is simply hiring JGL to star and direct... Not sure how that is a bad approach considering JGL did well with Don Jon and has his own producing company for music, tv shows, movies, animation, etc... called HitRECord and just launched as part of a new tv channel. Dude is very talented and everything he has done has been well accepted. Everyone here wanted this guy to be the star of a new comic book franchise, Batman, Nightwing, Dr Strange, AntMan, etc...

Man, I remember us having this Sandman conversation a few weeks back.

I remembered it all of a sudden because one dude asked JGL on Twitter if it's Sandman as in Marvel's Sandman. That was just hilarious lol.

Anyways, this is good news. JGL seems to be a pretty capable dude. Whether he just produces it or acts in it, dude might pull it off.

And who do you think plays Death? First one that came to mind was Rooney Mara.

I don't know but apparently to most DC only hire chicks for their looks (why was Maggie Gylenhaal in TDK then?) so it'll likely be Kate Upton.

:lol:

I think it's a huge mistake to have JGL direct a Sandman movie and I'm sure all the die hard fans probably feel the same way. I don't mind him starring in it. However, it's an even more colossal mistake having Goyer write the screenplay for it. The thing is with this announcement I get the feeling DC doesn't really care cuz it's a Vertigo book film adaption that will not in anyway connect to w/e the **** they're doing with MOS/Batman/WW/JL.

So to them it's like hey why not let this guy do this. Their version of Ant Man in a sense.

They only wanted him to be batman cuz those were Nolanverse fans sill attached to his nuts. The attachment fades over time but it didn't help that they made Affleck Batman. I personally did not buy JGL as Batman :lol: I've watched Hesher but I've seen 500 Days of Summer too many times to think he could be Bats even if it is as some weird ****/Jason/Tim amalgam named Robin something.

So far, JGL tweeted that he is only producing it and nothing else at this point. They are probably still in talks for him to star or direct but as of now he is only a producer.

Just to clarify, folks. I've signed on as a producer on Sandman. The rest remains to be seen. Delighted you guys are excited. I am too!

I agree with you both rfx45 rfx45 , @CP1708.

Growing up reading comic books all day and collecting the comic cards and learning about all of these characrters and their abilities;
Watching the golden era late 80s, early 90s cartoons like Spiderman and X-Men on Satuday morning;
And especially after the disappointing way that comic movies started out; it is really gratifying to see some of the massive world that comic books create,
come alive on the big screen in a way where I can believe it, and lose myself in it, if only for a few hours.

anybody who held marvel that dear to their heart would never accept these movies as good enough :lol:

Man Franco was great in this movie, Cesar is such a bad **** love his facial expressions, they did a great job at making him threatening.

Only thing left to happen in that was Franco's character to end up dying since we all know where planet of the apes ends up.

So since Pym and Lang are teaming up we gonna get YellowJacket too? I'm confused and a bit disappointed...I wanted Rudd to be the only Ant-Man....although his comedic relief doesn go better with crazy *** YellowJacket
