News On Future Films Based on Comics/Paranormal/Sci-Fi

^ I thought Olympus Has Fallen was good alright. But yeah. His selection hasn't been the best lately.

Hercules is expected to make only 5 mill opening weekend. They shot themselves in the foot releasing this when a better Hercules with the rock is coming out soon.

The Manderin One Shot is going to be in the thor 2 blu ray and tie in to the winter soldier. IM 3 blu ray is already out. Dont know why they are bringing back a character that audiences vocally expressed theit distaste for.

That's the thing though, the majority of the audience did not voice distaste for the fake Mandarin. Most of them don't even know who the Mandarin is suppose to be. To them he was just a guy posing as a super villain in one big A.I.M. ploy that turned out to be an actor.

Only ppl expecting racist caricature Mandarin are big Iron Man comic book fans cared and wanted the whole ten rings thing.

I think that's why it got a lot of good reviews too. I talked to a few people and they liked IM3. Probably because they didn't know who Mandarin was and how it was stupid to make the character how he was in the movie.

But there's no Kate Beckinsale in spandex in IFrankenstein.

Wanting an Asian to play an Asian character is people expecting a racist caricature now? They could have have had the same character, without the stupid twist, but played by an asian and it wouldve been much better.

Also people hated that twist even if they didnt know the Mandarin. I'm not a Mandarin or Iron Man comic fan so IDK how the character is supposed to be. It was still terrible.

Word, what if in TDK, as you're thinking everything was Joker's plan and at the end of the movie, Michael Jai White walks in on Harvey Dent in the hospital and it turns out that Heath Ledger was just a birthday clown he hired to be the "face" to the public and that he was really the Joker? The internet would've blown up and it would've been the worst movie ever made.

Would have marked the beginning of the end of comic book films.

Batman fans would have rioted. Nolan would be more hated than Michael Bay.

I never said anything about ppl expecting an Asian to play an Asian character.

The Mandarin IS a racist caricature though. There's no denying that. Over time they've lessened that but his origins are clear. No surprise they went even further and changed his name in the Chinese version.

What you talking about doesn't seem to be what I'm talking about. I don't see how casting an Asian man instead of Sir Ben Kingsley would've made what they did with fake Mandarin in IM3 much better than what was done. In the movie they never even established that the Mandarin was Chinese, he was just a terrorist. So no matter if the guy was an albino black Russian it still would've been batter

Just cuz you hated the twist doesn't mean everybody did or that the majority did.

You know what's funny about that? That's EXACTLY what Nolan did in TDKR. Bane is busting **** up for 3/4ths of the movie and even despite claiming shorty wasn't Talia when she was cast before the movie she shows up as Talia at the end claiming this was all her master plan to honor her father and Bane just becomes a little ***** easily defeated by Batman  Yall don't even see the irony in this argument.

Also your example to make a comparison to what IM3 did really isn't equal  Funny but c'mon.

to make matters worse, it was Catwoman who killed Bane

i liked TDKR a lil more than TDK

Bane went from being the BOSS to just another henchman. only reason he got that menacing mask is cuz he got beat up anyway

i always wondered how the Joker would interact with children in the Nolanverse

And TDKR was the worst of the 3.

The irony of your last sentence. Finding out the boss is the henchmen is much different than finding out the Henchman is a paid actor who wasnt a danger at all.

Naw. Banes voice from above killed any scene he was in. Sounds like they dubbed it a before release
They did. He was not understandable at all before they dubbed it

Keep in mind that you already know what he is saying. If that was your first playthrough tho....
