Iron Man 3 was worse than Spider Man 3
and that's saying something
No it wasn't. I think you forget how bad SM3 actually was.

At least IM3 had the cool cgi fight scene at the end. There are no saving graces for SM3 other than it was the last in the series.

Ok so I just finished watching im3 for the first time
I liked the mandarin twist it was kinda funny
But I don't get why he didn't just call all those iron men when he was stuck with no power
That was kinda dumb
He coulda BEEN saved the president if he woulda sent them at first
Plus I think the real mandarin we will see later on
OR that was the real mandarin and he really scheming
Overall I liked it better than im2

This is the most prevalent criticism of the movie. I dont get it either.

I agree this is better than IM 2 as well but that doesnt say much

Also he joked to much every other minute was a joke or quip
I didn't like that
Don't really see a problem with pepper saving the day though
Kinda dope
But what's the point of destroying all the suits at the end if he gotta make more
Idk i liked it but some stuff didn't make sense from a purely
If this was real why would u do that type of thing

^his head wasnt straight.

I liked pepper saving the day. She had her own Iron Man suit for a while.

So that scene where she covers Tony when the crib got lit up was pretty cool.

The armor thing was one of the dumber things throughout when it was revealed. They could've at least made the movie more badass by showing War Machine do more work but w/
Also why give a terrorist ur address but not be prepared when he blows up ur place
He was prepared, like you said he had all of those armors in storage. It was a badass move followed up by incompetence. I don't know if it was simply bad writing he couldn't handle some helicopters and some missiles attacking his cliff side mansion or if the PTSD was just messing with him throughout.

I
was referring to the villains mostly how they Destoyed Mandarin compared to Venom

True. Guess it comes down to whether a villain turned joke is more insulting than that trash Venom.

We all need to remember that SM3 killed the franchise. Before that they were talking about multiple films still to come.

No there was only going to be one more movie before the reboot. The script was crap so they started the reboot early. But Spiderman 4 was in preproduction

Michael Douglas to Star as Hank Pym in Marvel's Ant-Man

The Oscar-winning actor joins the cast of Marvel's Ant-Man, in theaters July 31, 2015!

Michael Douglas has stepped into some of the biggest--or should that be tiniest?--shoes of his career.

The two-time Academy Award-winning actor will join director Edgar Wright and Paul Rudd in Marvel's "Ant-Man," hitting theaters July 31, 2015.

"With Hank Pym's rich history in the Marvel Universe, we knew we needed an actor capable of bringing the weight and stature to the role that the character deserves," said Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige. "We felt incredibly relieved when Michael Douglas agreed to step into the part with the charm and fortitude he brings to every character he inhabits, and couldn't be more excited to see what he will do to bring Hank Pym to life."

The legendary actor, who earned an Academy Award in the category of Best Actor in a Leading Role for his iconic portrayal of Gordon Gecko in "Wall Street," has also starred in numerous modern classics including "Basic Instinct," "Fatal Attraction," "The Game," "Wonder Boys," "Traffic" and many more. In addition to acting, Douglas has also served as Producer and Executive Producer on a number of films including "Romancing the Stone," John Carpenter's "Starman" and "One Flew Over the ****oo's Nest," for which he also won an Academy Award for Best Picture. Most recently, Douglas earned a Golden Globe and his first Primetime Emmy Award for his role as legendary entertainer Liberace in the HBO original film "Behind the Candelabra."

Douglas will star as Hank Pym, who first appeared in TALES TO ASTONISH #27 (Jan. 1962), with Rudd starring as Scott Lang in the film.

So Rudd if going to Lang then?

That also means Pym is much older than the rest of the Avengers? Kind of weird.

Hearing rumors than Pym will actually be the villain?

And I guess no Rashida Jones as Wasp?

Pretty sure he's gonna be Lang now.

Might be they're gonna make Pym a contemporary of Stark's father or something like that.

I could see Douglas/Pym inventing it in the 60's and Rudd/Lang stealing it in modern times. It definitely feels like the rumors were true that they'll go a route similar to the "To Steal an Ant-Man" story.

So not only are they giving Ant-Man an underserved movie, it's not even the Ant-Man that people like? Good lord. This is the only avengers film I will not see in theatres (or pay for in any way). ****. I can name at least 30 Avengers who deserved a movie before Lang.

"Ant-man people like" is kind of subjective. Personally, my favorite Ant-Man story was with Eric O'Grady, so I'm indifferent with which one they go with but from what I've seen on forums, even before anything was confirmed, you're always gonna want people who want Pym since he was the original but there's a good number of Scott Lang fans as well. I mean, he's wasn't really a slouch as Ant-Man.

I understand people want Pym because he invents Ultron, but I thought they were going with Iron Man creating him now? If that's the case, all Pym needs to do is create his suit and particles and he's good, which seems to be what will happen here.
