News On Future Films Based on Comics/Paranormal/Sci-Fi

Really then. I must have confused someone elses work for his on Infinity. Because that is the sloppy work I was referring to. I really enjoyed his opening arc for X-Men. Stopping that pull partly because he isnt doing it anymore. I didnt bother paying for infinity (besides my new avengers pull) and have already deleted those files from my computer.

A conflicting story about F4 reboot:

AMC Movie News correspondent Jon Schnepp is a trusted source for this kind of insight into the comic book filmmaking industry, having mentioned numerous times before how he knows a lot of the special effects artists personally, people who've been working on the project since day one. AMC was reporting Simon Kinberg had finished doctoring the script for Josh Trank's Fantastic Four reboot and we should be hearing the official casting announcements soon enough. While remaining optimistic towards Variety.com's shortlist of bizarre choices for lead actors, Schnepp nonchalantly chimed in with Annihilus as an aspect of the newly completed script. The remark could've easily gone unnoticed and while it isn't the "studio confirmation" golden standard for news websites who start or perpetuate rumors based on nothing, seeing as this is only news we've heard thus far of a possible villain, the evidence stacks up as its consistent with previous statements made by Ultimate FF writer Mark Millar.

"I'm actually kind of excited, [Josh] Trank has this perspective of doing a realistic version of the Fantastic Four ...[it depends] on how they deal with Annihilus and other aspects of the script." -Jon Schnepp

"What I wasn’t expecting actually was just how funny and likable [Trank] could make this as well as getting the more awesome moments on screen – I use awesome in the traditional British sense and not the California sense 'awesome' you know? The Ridley Scott moments, and the Fantastic Four really are jaw-dropping in the same way you feel when you saw Alien for the first time. There’s some moments in this – not to be specific – that are actually gonna be phenomenal on screen and stuff you haven’t seen in a superhero movie before." -Mark Millar

Jon Schnepp @JonSchnepp

Did I mention Annihilus as the main villian? Huh...weird...

On the AntMan front, Evangeline Lilly up for the main role but not a Wasp, instead as Pyms daughter and Langs love interest?

Evangeline Lilly Eyed For Female Lead in Marvel’s ‘Ant-Man’

After already tapping Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas and Michel Pena to star in “Ant-Man,” Marvel is now in early talks with Evangeline Lilly for the female lead.

Edgar Wright is directing the superhero film with Kevin Feige producing. Wright also co-wrote the script with Joe Cornish.

Plot details are still vague, but fans have suspected Wright is taking a different approach. It is unclear who Lilly would be playing, though some insiders say she would play Pym’s (Douglas) daughter and Lang’s love interest.

Pym didn’t have a daughter in the comics but Cornish and Wright could certainly have switched things up in their version by giving him one.

Marvel had no comment.

Production is set to start in April.

Just saw Marvel One-Shot: All Hail the King

It's pretty much dragged for 10 minutes until the end when it got interesting.

Seems like the 10 Ring does exist and a real Mandarin exist and the interviewer was part of the 10 Rings and will break Trevor out for the real Mandarin.

They didn't reveal Mandarin though but it's obviously a response to the backlash the movie got about the character.

This would have been much better shown at the end of IM3 instead of the Banner/STark session but it still wouldn't have saved the crappy film.

I was expecting more. Kind've like a double twist where Kingsley really was the mandarin after all. Eh, like you said though, the movie was crap and couldn't be saved as soon Tony gave the mandarin his location. All down hill :smh:

Hurry while it's still up...

Gone. Hope everyone that was looking for it got to see it. I thought it was ok and am glad that they revisited what it seemed they had forgotten from the first movie. I guess this leaves room for future films whether it's with or without RDJ, which is a good thing because pissing away Iron Man's biggest foe would've painted the franchise into a corner.

You can't blame Marvel for being successful. They didn't over saturate the market, SONY and FOX were successful with Spidey and X-Men movies, Marvel wanted in and did their thing. They just happened to do it better and now all these other studios are scrambling.

If you brought those restrictions to any studio now they'd laugh you out the building. That's hundreds of millions and years being wasted.

What these studios simply need is good directors with a vision, good writers, and really good actors. Everything else should be fixed up in post production.

marvel has not been successful with iron man since the first one. that's what it is. once they see that the sheep are just herding in. they just f it. let's just bump anything out. at least that's the way it seems.

that's why they are coming out with some much stuff at once. because they only care about the money. they don't respect the road that was paved before hand.

it's more than directors. it's the people above them and the actors who actually care about making/respecting comics. i bet a lot of these actors were not hardcore comic book fans growing up. because if they were they probably wouldn't be in stuff like this. unless they were just sell outs.

but hey i'm just one person. people will still flock. only until people actually realize how badly made these movies will people stop. but i don't see that happening anytime soon

You are well aware that IM 3 is the 5th highest grossing box office of all time at 1.22 billion? Like I have been saying these movies are not for comic book fans but they are made with comic book fans in mind if that makes sense.

If I was an actor I would definitely be in stuff like this. It boosted RDJs and Tom Hiddlestons career and though it didnt bosst Chris Evans career nearly as much I would say Cap is the only reason he still has one and has more than made up for the F4 movies he was in.

how many people went to see iron man 3 more than 2 or 3 times ? not much i bet. i get what you are saying. and that's why i don't watch this half *** movies. i'm a comic book fan first. then a movie fan.

Just watched "All Hail the King"
Though I am glad they established a real mandarin it still doesn't fix the movie

Kingsley could have been simply perfect as the Madarin tho...what a wasted actor...smh

IM has had amazing actors for villains and they've dropped the ball with each and every single one, most were at the very least nominated for awards in the past...

Vertigo Comic DMZ Headed to Syfy From Mad Men Writers

Deadline is reporting that former "Mad Men" executive producers Andre and Maria Jacquemetton are teaming up with Gravity producer David Heyman to bring the Vertigo comic series DMZ to television. Created by Brian Wood and Riccardo Burchielli, DMZ ran for over 70 issues from 2005 to 2012. The series is officially described as follows:

"In the near future, America's worst nightmare has come true. With military adventurism overseas bogging down the Army and National Guard, the U.S. government mistakenly neglects the very real threat of anti-establishment militias scattered across the 50 states. Like a sleeping giant, Middle America rises up and violently pushes its way to the shining seas, coming to a standstill at the line in the sand — Manhattan or, as the world now knows it, the DMZ."

"Matty Roth, a naïve young man and aspiring photojournalist, lands a dream gig following a veteran war journalist into the heart of the DMZ. Things soon go terribly wrong, and Matty finds himself lost and alone in a world he's only seen on television. There, he is faced with a choice: try to find a way off the island, or make his career with an assignment most journalists would kill for. But can he survive in a war zone long enough to report the truth?"

i've really lost all hope for DoFP... thought i was gonna be this amazing game changer

maybe it's better this way though.. since my expectations are at 0 Singer might be able to surprise me

I'm almost positive the batsuit will be short eared grey/blue/black batman.

The rock as lantern...WB is getting really brave

So according to rumors the Phase 3 project set to release on the same day as BvS might Guardians 2.

This is my most anticipated movie of the year. Phase II is going so well for Marvel they are greenlighting sequels before the movie comes out :smokin
I have ridiculous confidence in this movie and Cap 2.
