News On Future Films Based on Comics/Paranormal/Sci-Fi

I'm not surprised at Cars 3.. the merchandise alone is worth it.

You can only stay the king for so long. I mean... they rattled off Toy Story 2, Monsters, Finding Nemo, Incredibles in a row... then Ratatouille, Wall E, Up, and Toy Story 3 :wow: then Cars 2 put a major dent in the Pixar mystique. Brave and Monsters University were both solid movies, but just weren't as good as Pixar's best. But to be fair.. can you expect them to pump out critically beloved movies 14 straight times? Cars 2 is their only real major disappointment. Cars, Brave, and Monsters U weren't their best efforts, but other than that.. they've released 10 classic animated movies throughout their history.

Took ten years to announce an Incredibles sequel smh. Long overdue and it would fit in perfectly with these superhero flicks.

Monsters University was good to me. Gave a good backstory with plenty of easter eggs that build on Monsters Inc.

Pixar was the standard. So much so that when How to Train your Dragon came out they called it "Pixar-esque" or "Pixar quality". I feel a lot of people expected 10/10 movies. Cars is the only franchise of theirs I dont like. I know I am a lone in this opinion again but Toy Story 2 was a bland and forgettable movie. /:

I actually...agree. I rewatched Toy Story 1 & 2 before 3 came out and was surprised by how well 1 held up, even though it was slower and quieter than I remembered, how much I kinda didn't care much about Toy Story 2.

But yeah, what's happened in Pixar kinda feels like Apple after Steve died, but I guess in Pixar's case it's Pixar after Disney finished devouring it.

There was this mystique...that you never knew what Pixar was really up to, they'd drop little hints and pictures here and there, then all of the sudden you get this super unique thing, that just hearing about you rolled your eyes at, but once you saw a trailer, your ticket was bought.

Now...Pixar's just like anybody, but with a little more potential. People keep saying Cars messed up Pixar, but no one cares about Cars. They kinda accept it as the runt of hte litter that makes a ton of money. Nah, it's not cars or the fact that they're making sequels and prequels, cuz people were all the way on for Pixar after Toy Story 3. It's about what they did with that goodwill. They announced Monsters U, when everyone was really waiting for Incredibles 2.

And then they put out Brave, while the competition had Wreck-It Ralph and ParaNorman...and now Frozen and Lego Movie and the Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and How to Train Your Dragons.

It doesn't feel like Pixar fell off, as much as Pixar's been gone for the last 4 years. And they don't even have a movie coming out this year.

If Inside Out and Good Dinosaur kill it, Pixar back. If they don't...*shrug*...others people are doing things now too.

Before you if you didn't have an iPhone, you had a Nokia brick, a Razr or a crappy slider phone...now, if the iPhone is slacking, you couldn't run out of great options.

^That was very well put and exactly how I feel!

Thing is the reason they didnt drop a movie this year was because the competition is tough this summer and next summer. Big Hero 6, HtTyD 2, The Wind Rises, Minions movie, Penguins of Madagascar movie, Kung Fu Panda 3 being the biggest contenders. The Good Dinosaur was originally slated for a May release but now they are moving it to next November, long after their competition has duked it out.

The days of Pixar pointing at the competition and saying "Ant" then pointing at their product and saying "boot" is long gone.

those madagascar and despicable me movies suck though
kung fu panda is :pimp: though

Of all the movies I listed How to Train Your Dragon is :smokin

Despicable me 2 almost made it to the billion dollar club at $970M worldwide. Pixar knows that that the minions movie would be their strongest competitor if they released next summer.

I am curious about Big Hero 6 tho. I dont like Anime(but I have a few exceptions) and it's not very popular in the west. But an American movie with Japanese influences and a Japanese director is bringing something new to the table.

Any one like 'A league of extraordinary gentlemen'?

I think the only one who enjoyed it and could of been a cool series.
I love the first half of it when they're assembling the team. Really cool and had great potential. The rest with the conflict, secret plot, and betrayal overall could've been better. I prefer a much more methodical Moriarty as a villain.

ur post explains EXACTLY what i thought of the film

u know what shoulda had a sequel
VAN HELSING
i thought it was good

 @ JLa being a good Mystique. It's easily her worse cast.. I'd rather go back to Rebecca saying one or two sentences the whole movie and assassinating ppl. JLa's Mystique is a complete joke. Pretty clear the writer's didn't know what they were doing with the character.

I thought they were going somewhere with that too but then after that all I can remember is Kate in the Underworld movies.

I liked the character designs in Van Helsing.

Yeah, that last Underworld movie was so bad and disappointing. Them cgi'ing the michael character was so dumb.

Damn if that is the final costumes for scarlet and quick i approve :smokin phase two character design is too perfect. Especially with guardians and the twins

I missed it. Can't wait for someone to post it.
