while we're on that, for people that carry, what is your every day carry? I currently own a XDm 9mm 3.8 compact, and while I absolutely love it, I feel its still too bulky to carry, once I get my CCW. A friend has a Bodyguard 380 that is obviously the perfect size, and I've checked it out a bit but want to go a different route.

Buy once, cry once. You'll save money in the long run over upgrading.

I carry my gen 4 glock 19...

Ive been debating on grabbing this XDs .45 though. My boy just got one and it feels great in hand.  I just want to shoot it first before i buy it.

Xds 45 is a true pocket rocket. So much firepower such a little package. Cant be that pleasant to shoot but its a carry gun not a target/range plinker

Someone On here has one i remember when he scooped it maybe last yr. Cuz i was lookin at one at the same tine

I have the Taurus pt809c and it's pretty lightweight and it fits my hand perfect..But I have a feeling I'll want something smaller after I get used to having a firearm on my hip on a consistent basis..But for now I think it'll be fine..

I bought a Bersa Thunder 380 I carry it everyday never thought bout changing it either

I want to like the Bodyguard but I'm not a fan of shooting it. My next gun will definitely be for concealed carry. I could carry my Springfield XD-9 if I had too, but it's not ideal at all. I'm interested in the Springfield XD-S, or maybe the classic Glock 26.. or maybe a Walther PPK which I've always loved and I'm insanely accurate with  Last time I went to the range I was literally dead center every single shot without any adjustments. It was just perfect.

For whatever reason, I've never enjoyed shooting revolvers. They're obviously a great choice for concealed carry, but yeah.. I've tried all the popular models and styles, they just never feel as comfortable.

thanks for all the responses on edc's. I'm checking out everything that ya'll mentioned.

I feel you, bruh. I've been able to shoot my friends Bodyguard alondside my XDm 9 when we go to the range, and I can't get past the trigger on the Bodyguard. I understand it though, since its made for carrying on your person. my XDm is the complete opposite when it comes to actually pulling the trigger. I love it.

I love Springfield, so I've been looking at the XD-S as well.

I've been checking pretty consistently and I fiiiinally found cheap 9mm ammo at my local Walmart. 8)
copped the last 6 50 count boxes that they had in stock. they've never had any 9mm ammo 'til now.

Anybody try out the glock 42 yet? I carry a glock 30S off duty but looking to add a pocket pistol in my collection. Not a big fan of the .380, but my local LE shop has the glock 42 for $360 for LEO's

Ur gunna go from carryin a .45 to .380??? i dunno i understand the extra bulk is annoying but i cant ever get passed this one tru tv video i saw of a scummer gettin into it with an off duty cop At the gas station. long story short the dude bum rushed the cop at his car door. The cop was built like idris elba and jus hulked the door open and the dude backwards. They both went for their pistols but the cop drew 1000X times faster n started pumpin .380 into this dude. Hit him at leasttt 5 times n the dude jus ran away shooting backwards. The cop had to take cover. If hes carryin somethin bigger id like to think from 10 feet u should be able to neutralize some skinny gang banger. They said the dude was apprehended not far away but still, with the xds 45 i highly doubt he woulda been in a shootout.... soon as he drew first in put two on target. Game over.

I agree with the lack of stopping power of the .380 but im looking for something to carry when wearing basketball shorts. Winter time i carry everything from a full size 1911 to a glock 21 with a surefire x300 ultra but summer time clothing limits my options. Had a springfield xds45 but ended up selling it when they announced the recall last year

Somewhere in this thread I posted pics of me carrying my Gen 4 Baby Glock (G26) in my Nate Squared holster wearing some ultra thin dri fit jogging pants with absolutely no printing with a thin under armour t-shirt on. I too came from a .45 to a Sig 9mm to a Glock 9mm and trust I felt some type of way downsizing rounds but 9mm is more than effective.

This is just my opinion so I can understand if people's differ, but there's no way in Sam's Hades that I'll mess with .380 even as a backup arm. There's more than enough small 9mms on the market for concealability.

I'm surprised the Marrietta PD bought their officers the G42 as backups...yeah I know Marrietta is next to Smryna GA where Glock USA is headquartered but I thought the whole logic for a backup with Glocks was the whole shared mag and same caliber concept. I mean my G26 can take G19 and G17 mags in a pinch and even that excessive a** 33 rounder if need be.

Anyway I'm not a fan of the G42 except for maybe ultra deep cover situations which in that case I'd argue for a snubbie revolver with a shrouded hammer and melt treatment.

Digging that seekins billet lower. I was gonna use that for my SBR build but I think I'm gonna go with Mega.

Yeah they are both very nice, Seekins is a beautiful lower but I prefer the angular look of the mega... It'll be a while before I get into that project though. On the hunt for an ACOG at the moment.

Looking for an ACOG as well.  Trying to justify getting an Elcan DR, but whew.....the tag on them is basically another rifle.

Yeah a good optic will cost as much as if not more than what's it's mounted on lol. I also like the HAMR but I'm set on an ACOG with a RMR. Hey where you from msg7603?

Looking for the exact same thing w/the rmr.  They're out there.  If you're willing to pay....and they are pricey too.  I'm just trying to find a good deal on one...lol.

I'm in TX about 15 min. from Houston.

I'm in Houston, I know a guy by Austin that has 2 for 1000 each. Maybe we can get a deal if he buy em both lol.

Dude if you can go ELCAN DR do so. You will not regret it at all. The true buy once cry once optic purchase.

Elder, I know man but whew.  I got two rifles I still need to get optics for, and building two/three more.....lol.

Hey, since we're (me, Elder, MF Gooze....and whoever else wants to join) are all in/near Houston, we all need to go hit the range one day.
