I've really wanted to get into long range shooting as of late. Get a nice bolt-action and practice my distance shooting.

I'd love to do more long distance shooting. My only problem is that most public ranges in my direct area only reach out to 100 yards. There's one that I know of that has a 200 yard lane which requires reservations or a long wait time if you walk in and put your name on a list, not to mention it's a 1.5 hour drive :x

If I had it my way I'd have a range set up like this

Velle47 mike honcho I appreciate it you guys . Ran 140 rounds today and its a beast. Shot at 25-50 yards with irons/off hand then my boy let me run his scope at 100, for sure thinking about mounting something now.

I finally made it out on Saturday to do a shake down on my AR build. Test it out and to check the red dot I sighted in. I was surprised in that I got lucky on sighting it in. Using a laser bore sight, from inside a bedroom.. through the hallway and on the wall of the living room. I was able to hit a steel plate I hung at about 45-50 yards away. On the first shot..

I finally finished a build I started last year. Competed the lower in Aug. Installed the lower parts kit this week. All I'm waiting for now is some sights.

Went ahead and bought a "cheap" WASR 10 and a Springfield XD Mod.2 service. Stainless/black, 4" 9mm for CC.

They'll be here Monday.

You can find colts under $1000 often. But it's generally regarded as the standard others judge their product against.

If you can swing it, do it. Worst case you can sell it for 22000 dollars during the next panic.
