Official LEBRON 2010 Thread (The Decision: MIAMI HEAT)

2 things I can see wrong with that Chi scenario:

1. Playing in MJ's shadow doesn't seem like LBJs thing.
2. Clevelands willingness to do a sign & trade for Loul Deng? I guess they may do this if they feel LBJ is a definitely leaving, to get something in return.

It will be an interesting time until July 1st, full of over the top reporting.

LeBron is NOT going to Chicago. No way he wants to play in MJ's town. Period.

What happens if Lebron decides he wants to win an easy 'ship and tells Cavs management he's definitely gone? Lakers swoop in and offer Bynum, Artest and two 1st's.

Kobe
Bron
Odom
Gasol

EDIT: I know there no chance in hell this would ever happen but it's fun to think about.

Now why would Lebron go play for a team where he's going to be in the shadow of Michael Jordan?

Yeah, yeah I'm a Knicks fan. Has nothing to do with it if you know my history of posts.

nobody says chicago for two years and then all of a sudden they are the front runner? the knicks are stupid because lebron is soooo loyal and will never leave. But then oh wait yeah he's leaving. But to chicago because you know the guy who wrote "new york" on his damn sneaker would never wanna come to NYC. yeahhhh right.

people are just trying to rain on the knicks parade one more time because thay are nervous as !!$$. the same people who said he would never leave are now pushing for the nets and bulls.

While I believe Chicago is like probably the 6th option for Lebron I dont fall for the "MJ shadow" reasoning. Because I'm sure Shaq wasnt thinking about being in Kareem's shadow and look what he did to the Laker franchise. No one thinks of him as Kareem #2. He's SHAQ.

Two words for you...major markets.

why stay in cleveland and waste your best yrs of your career trying win a championship. like kg told lebron, "loyalty can hurt you." it's ny, chi, and maybe...dallas

Dudes on ESPN all saying Bulls now? WOW

i mean if i were Lebron id go to the Bulls since they have a great squad and would be a great team with him.

my top 3 teams he goes to in no particular order knicks, nets and the heat... the nets he would go to because they got brook, devin harris and courtney lee... but also jay z is the owner and hes boys with him... cant forget the nets have top 4 pick and can possibly land john wall who hes cool with too... the heat got wade theres nothing much else to say... the knicks can sign another max guy with him... the bulls no because i said before rose needs to dominate the ball in order to be good... but yet chris bourchard that dummy keeps sayin he will go there
smh.gif
... he definitely leaving he would be stupid not too... its just a matter of where really... but hopefully its the knicks

Heat? who do the Heat have that would help Lebron win a championship other than Wade? NO ONE!

Nets on the other hand have a decent squad with a legit center in Lopez and Devin Harris and maybe the number 1 pick in the draft.

i think everyone is making too much out of "mjs shadow"...if that were the case, LeBron would move to football..any great player will deal with that "shadow" and those comparisons. MJ was just that good..its the same way with Usher and the comparisons to Michael Jackson as a pop star and dancer (not exactly the same but I hope you catch my drift)

outside of the friendship with Jigga, I can't see him signing with the Nets..they are awful and would have nothing besides him, Lopez and possibly Bosh...plus would he really settle on playing outside of New York?

New York is wooing him hard...I could see it with Bosh signing as well but I think that team would struggle b/c their teo best existing players play the same position

The chance of him coming to Bulls only strengthened when Peter Vecsey said a person close to LBJ said the Bulls would be a dark horse. I'm just enjoying the moment as a Bulls fan. I just hope we will be playing beyond first round next year. I would go crazy if he signed with us though...we would still need a great shooter (jesus Shuttlesworth?) Wade would be an overkill and I don't believe that will happen at all noe would it work IMO

Exactly what I came in here to say. Look what setting his own legacy in Cleveland has gotten him so far -- no rings. Especially since he's already going to change his jersey number.

Kobe was 3 seconds from being a Bull a few years ago. Do you think that mattered as far as legacy? MJ will forever be Chicago's golden child, but I don't think LeBron would mind playing in Chicago ...

Kareem isnt the best player to ever play the game.
