***Official Air Jordan XX3 Summary Post***

Only ONE Champs store will recieve the Limited XX3 and that's the one in New York's Time Square.

Peace

now...w/ that fsr (for the ti/blue)listed in the beginning of this thread, does that mean that nike didn't produce a 14 or above? is that the sz run thatnt's will carry? this is not lookin very promising to me. that is the only color that i do like. i wish they would have made a different color limited.

So lets say I end up camping out at one spot that will carry the limited XX3, I'm first in line, will that guarantee me a shoe?

Do I have to worry about employees and/or their friends?

Ok so when will we know the new colorways

and release dates (pix would be nice)

The Black/Red/Stealth or "Stealth" Air Jordan XX3 is the first out of the initial release trio to be completely designed by Tinker Hatfield. The first two releases feature an outer stitching pattern designed by Mark Smith.
Tinker only did the Black/Red

That makes a lot of sense. They're the only decent ones. I hope he also did the White/Stealth/Black ones that are supposed to drop in April, which we haven't seen pictures of yet.

I want that poster with team jordan in their suits

yeah that'll get framed matted and hung in my office

So knowing some stores have jacked up the price of Limited Releases before..... will that happen unexpectedly to you guys carrying $230 + Local Tax?

Ok so I get an email confirming that NikeTown's NY,CHI,LA,SF WILL be getting the Limited XX3's.

In the same email, it states that more NT might be added during an allocation analysis meeting.

Stay Tuned!

Can anyone help me with this:

If I happen to end up first in line at, lets say NTNY, am I guranteed a pair for me in my size? Are employees "allowed" to buy pairs, or hold/hidefor friends?

I'd be sorely pissed.

After the releasing the limited ["Titanium Blue" Air Jordan XX3] and the [limited (not as limited as the "TBs") "All-Star" Air Jordan XX3], Jordan Brand will release the first General Release Air Jordan XX3, the Black/Red/Stealth Air Jordan XX3. The Black/Red/Stealth or "Stealth" Air Jordan XX3 is the first out of the initial release trio to be completely designed by Tinker Hatfield. The first two releases feature an outer stitching pattern designed by Mark Smith.

The Argyle MJ stitching on the outer of the "Stealth" XX3 is inspired by Michael Jordan's luxurious taste. According to Tinker, while accompanying Michael on a trip through the shopping meccas of Europe (Milan, Paris, London, etc.), Michael consistently purchased the most exquisite goods. From a pair of handcrafted dress shoes, to a handcrafted cigar box, to the handcrafted leather interior of his newly purchased Ferrari, MJ sought for only the best. Based on this trip with Michael, Tinker felt the need to infuse this feeling of luxury into the Air Jordan XX3. The Argyle MJ pattern is a representation of passing this feeling of luxury onto the consumer.

In addition to the Argyle MJ pattern, the luxury of the Air Jordan XX3 is retained through the shape of the outsole of Air Jordan XX3 which is inspired by the shape normally found on high end dress shoes. For the first time ever, Nike/Jordan Brand utilized an air bladder pressing method that molds the outsole into a more foot conforming shape. The curvature of the outsole, along with the carbon fiber midsole plate, provides for a more comfortable yet stable experience.

Don't take that tooo far out of context.
Tinker designed the Air Jordan XX3.

While designing the XX3, Tinker worked very closely with Mark Smith, whom he holds in VERY high esteem. Within the process, he asked Mark to design severalouter stitching patterns. Mark designed the outer stitching on the "Titanium Blue" and "All-Star" colorway, Tinker designed the outerstitching on the "Stealths".

The design of the overall XX3 is very much Tinker throughout.

If NTNY is anything like NTLA, the answer is no.

They usually raffle one pair to employees, whoever wins gets that pair in their size. As of right now there will not be an employee raffle. Furthermore, wristbands will be handed out to prevent any lineups in front of any NT. Wristbands will be handed out, the number or wristbands is TBD, people withwristbands will be told to show up anywhere from 6am to 8am. The 23 pairs will be raffled off. So ask when wristbands will be handed out and hope you arelucky, but it does save you a night out in the cold. No campouts will be allowed outside of Niketowns. If you campout and don't have a wristband, youwasted a night of your life.

thanks iron man...but that kinda sucks!!! do you work at ntla or something? that's good 411

Like ninjahood said, I hope they use nubuck on the Black pair and not suede- those pics look like suede.

Rock....I would raise#!**+!%#!$#*@+ HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! $230 is already too much for a shoe, but Im going to do it for the simple fact that they are SUUUUPERlimited and the resale is gonna me out of control. If NIketown ups the price( I doubt it) They will be seeing my "O" face and telling them to shovethe shoe up the managers@@#$..heck I might ever do it for him.

Ha ha...this limited release is gonna be monumental drama. What a great way to generate publicity. JB is marketing geniuses!

So will the other general releases have different prints on the upper, or just the argyle print? Also, does anyone know how many other GR releases there willbe for the mids?

The DMP was handled like this except with a RSVP list and a raffle and it saved NTLA from being embarassed by fights and a week of camping. IMO it workedout well. Yes it's a dice roll but for someone like me who is older has a 8-5 job camping out means taking sick and/or vacation time and a shoe reallyisn't worth that. It also saves all you kids from having to ditch class for a week or have your moms cover for you or be pissed when they get thatattendance call

Deefresh I didn't notice that but all it proves to me is that Jordan was destined to be the person he is. Nobody in his family is tall but he ends up6'6''? Turns 45 the same year the the iconic 23 Jordan shoe releases? His team wins the NBA Finals on Fathers's Day? But back to the shoes, after reading the tech behind the shoes I am very impressed, but this shoe does not scream this is the best Jordan ever. The shoe is more revultionary inconstruction than in design/materials used. I just don't feel the design justifies the price even though this may have been the hardest Jordan to design.
