Ken Griffey JR to retire

I'm sad that he's gone but I have to appreciate him coming back to Seattle at the end of his career, he wanted to go to Atlanta to stay close to his family but instead he came back to HIS home. Got nothing but love for him

Much love for junebug. Thanks for all the memories.
Bone, Gar, Wilson, Randy and now Griff being gone, it's truly an end of era.

Seeing Milton getting choked up about Griffey retiring last night when the game started

best player i have ever seen
damn shame he got hurt alot

he would def. have the hr record instead of bonds*

best athlete ever to play sports that i have seen play, imo.

natural athlete and for sure first time HOF!

my dad knew how big a fan I was of his, and growing up, I got to see Jr. play at Fenway Park, maybe close to 10 times.
it was great, and i have so much respect for the man. when i was about 7, i was at fenway, and he was in the on deck circle, i tried to get his attention, but it failed, or so i thought, i turn to go back to my seats, when ken griffey says "hey kid" and tosses me a ball from the dugout. unfortunately it was never signed, but holds alot of sentimental value for me, and just goes to show how he never let the game or his status get to him as a person.

you will be missed, thanks for all the memories.

he was my favorite player throughout my elementary school to highscool days...him and Tino Martinez...

he will always have the sweetest swing

Glad I got to see him play a few times. By far my favorite baseball player of all time. Im sitting here watching all these old highlights and yes, it makes me teary eyed.

Kinda made me sad looking at it though.

If it wasn't for the damn injuries he could've had around 800 Homeruns (no lie)

iTunes has the '95 ALDS Game 5. I had to download it after my DVR died out with it recorded. Always brings a tear to my eye!

the swing, the smile, the swag

I still remember that ALDS game and 8 game HR streak like it was yesterday
Like many, my childhood hero...sad to see him out of the game
