Old Navy:
Ingrid Michaelson - "The Way I Am"

iPod:
Feist - "1234"

iPod:
CSS - "Music is my Hot, Hot Sex"

JCPenney:
The Weepies - "All That I Want"

I can't find a video for this one, but it starts out: "Out in the harbor, the ship comes in, it's Christmas time".

JCPenney also had Regina Spektor's "Music Box" in a commercial a few months ago.

Rhapsody:
Sara Bareilles - "Love Song"
The Cool Kids - "88"

Whether or not you like the particular songs or genres of music, you cannot deny how catchy they are and how effectively they are in making you remember theproduct.

A+ advertising.

Like that song "Music Is My Hot Hot Sex" in the iTunes commercial. Or maybe it was another one... either way, I'm addicted to that song now.

I find myself humming along to both of these commercials, and admittedly, most recently, singing along on the "here take my sweater" line.

Ingrid Michaelson - The Way I Am

From the Old Navy sweater commercials. It's in my daily rotation.

In that one Lexus commercial..I think it's Lexus, or some other car company, they play "Pogo" by Digitalism

Good song, while the actual music video is not. I can't find the commercial.

call me elitist, but i don't like this trend at all

i especially hate that the new ford edge commercial is using "the funeral" by a band i like -- band of horses

even worse is that they're trying to target the yuppie-hipster crowd by pulling up in front of marlow & sons in williamsburg. totally synthetic setdesign trying to imitate the real thing

this is the only version i could find and it's kind of crappy

The Geico caveman commercial - "Every where I go....there's always something to remind me.."

Well.... Thank you for at least identifying that song!

I have been curious about that ad ever since I first saw it. I like that tune.

I like this idea of advertising, as of late. Because, a lot of the time, it's great music by bands that should be getting more recognition.

That Feist song makes me want to stick mechanical pencils in my ears, but other than I've enjoyed the songs chosen for ads recently.

not sure which bank it was i want to say wells fargo or b of a uses a dj krush estero track.

I knew Ingrid Michaelson and the Journey Diamonds commercial was gonna make this thread

Yeah, definitely catchy. But I hear there's a debate whetherit's Cat Power or Regina Spektor.

That's what's poppin right now son. That Feist video had me all intrigued, but then I saw what she looks like up close. Still a cool video though.

A lot of these songs that are being used for companies are pretty old. But good choices non the less.

Not sure about Krush, but Wells Fargo uses "The Horror" by RJD2 at the end of at least one of their commercials.

I love commercial music! Particularly the Love Song, and the new house/trance trend they are catching up on.
