i especially hate that the new ford edge commercial is using "the funeral" by a band i like -- band of horses
what i came here to post... i'm kinda like you, i like hearing the bands in these spots but all of us scenesters are kinda elitist and like tokeep our bands out of the mainstream sometimes, even if it means they never achieve great success as a band

I think there is a Ipod commercial where the girls say's " Music is my girlfriend etc." That song is cool.

Hearing Chan do that diamond commercial made my die a little inside. I have no problem with an artist, especially indie getting a pay day, but you can'tmake Cross Bones Style and then do a diamond commercial. Sad to say, but sober Chan is starting to become a tad annoying. My love for my dear Charlyn decreasesdaily.
Also, don't forget about The New Pornographers' "Bleeding Heart Show" in the University of Phoenix commercial. Being the Canadian that he is,Carl had no idea what the University of Phoenix was, and signed on only because he thought it was going to be a regional commercial, and not a nationalcampaign (so he says).
