im not insecure about it...just that there are so many pros/cons off all the tv's..so i just wanted some opions from ppl that have it..wats the good/bad ofit? i mean..if i dnt like it i can return it no problem..

You know its good off the bat, cause its a Sony, its also 1080p capable, and you saved about $500 on it. so yes, its a good purchase. Go enjoy it, and let usknow if it really was a good purchase.

Isnt this something you do before you buy? Does the TV suit your needs? Thats what you should be buying it for.

Yeah, not bad, shoulda went for the 46" Sharp Aquos for the same price though.

Sony Bravias are some of the best LCD's on the market. Dont let these NT/Samsung bias NTers sway you otherwise. You made a good purchase.

nah i was just kidding. but you should've done your research before you bought it, not after.

i have a sony myself, but its a lcd projection. haven't had any problems.

i wanted the family and friends discount..it was sort of a impluse buy and i had to buy it today..sop thats why no research

Oops, didn't notice he was Canadian

So was that $1900 in Canadian dollars?

too late now, u got it

just admit.. you wanted to make a post so nt will know you got a new hdtv

that was the model my brother tried to get on black friday at circuit city.

he was one away ... and we ended up with the panasonic 42 in

The contrast ratio on that model is 1,800:1.

There are 23" LCD HDTVs that have 3,000:1 contrast ratios.

Why did you not do your research beforehand...

This was an impulse buy, wasn't it?

Some of these contrast ratio specs are misleading. theres T.Vs that say 7000 : 1 or 10000 : 1 but this is the DYNAMIC contrast ratio, I always tend toignore that and look at the TRUE Contrast ratio, which is usually 1000 - 2000 :1 on most good T.Vs. If you look at the link i posted for the T.V, it saysdynamic contrast is 16000 : 1 and true contrast is 1800 : 1.
