I was just about to post the same thing, and it just happens to be the 89 flight hi which is similar to the 90 flight.  Sorry magic you contribute some good convo's on this forum but you get the

LOL, yeah, I love the 89's though. I had the 3/4's as a kid, but would settle for the high tops. The 90's being super high tops, not feeling them at all.

And Air Flight 89 High = Hell Yes.

I'd say a little bit, but 89's have more nostalgia for me just like the Air Flight 89's, so I would deal with it. These are like the Command Forces, another shoe people love, I'm like ehhhhhh on. I'm really biased against high top kicks.

I don't think height is an issue with these, Nike, reebok, fila, prada, puma, adidas, they all have shoes that are VERY high, height should not be a factor for these, hell reebok retro'd the twilight zone pump and bring back and those sold out, and now their bringing back the omni zone.

VERY nice pair but "few differences" is an understatement!  barely anything is shared between the two besides that colorway, which was pretty common for a bunch of force/flight lines in '90/'91

Being a child of the 80's I would love to see this shoe come back again, but I would compare these to the Air Flight Lites that were retroed a few years back. Nike actually did a terrific job of recreating them(I bought up my share, especially the citron colorway), but they weren't very successful. They're still on ebay for cheap.

what im still wondering is how come there are models that had the cut-out in the sole that showed the air-unit and some didn't..

well actually read the thread and you'll understand...

the ones with the visible air unit are air flight '90s.  the ones without are air solo flights, the "cheaper" version back then.

Nike needs to release these in original colorways and add in some updated technology like zoom air insoles or something that way it could still be a hooping shoe and not a lifestyle

Unless it's a fusion (and not all fusions suck) New technology in old designs is contrary to what Nike are all about.

They want us to play in the new (not so original looking) shoes with new technology, and wear the old (reproduced more for fashion than performance) designs casually.

Yeah, it sucks, but Nike are king and they can do whatever they like.
