I’m a Drake fan, not to the point where he’s the end all, be all however…
How could anybody listen to Back 2 Back, and then Duppy Freestyle…and then sit there and say that this dude isn’t battle tested nor can he really rap. I’m legitimately confused…do people actually listen to these records? ::Shrugs::
Push Ups strikes me as a track that people a year or two from now will go back and listen and say “Damn, maybe he can rap.”

Drake is good at what he does he's just not a rapper like that. Dr. Dre don't write his own rhymes either. He's still great just nobody takes him seriously as a rapper. Cardi b etc.. Same situation here. All of that stuff is confirmed, he did not beat the allegations. He's been DQ'd from that conversation imo. It is what it is

The ghost writing thing never really sticks to Drake and never will because most of the rappers his generation and younger...do the same thing. that's why most stay quiet on the subject.
Drake was just the first one exposed.
it's ironic Meek Mill beef involved Drake and Meek fighting over access to Quentin Miller.
it's really only older rappers who still hang on to this, but the reality is as hip hop transitioned from subculture to the dominant form of youth music. it shed it's subculture rules and idiosyncrasies.
no different from punk musics transition from Punk to grunge to pop-punk.

If you wanna believe it was an isolated incident that's up to you I guess. It's just a fact that bro gets his raps from fiverr. I don't even think q Miller gets residuals. So how can you be in a convo for best bars when you don't write your own bars. A lot of yall have IYRT in your top 5 and he didn't even compose the lyrics or flows. It's not adding up

at the end of his career he will be considered an all time great rapper. it is what it is, no matter how badly you want to go back 1991.
