🦉The Official Drake Thread6️⃣ - Scary Hours 3 11.17.23

its funny how people claim hood dudes dont listen to drake because they cant relate

when most of the chiraq fans are white or suburban black kids

Drake is spoil because he lived a normal suburban life.

The notion that black folk or even black folk in the hood don't mess with Drake is ridculous.

This is purely antedotal: But in the islands the play ole boy's music, I've heard lil child from the trap rap his Versace verse word for word, if they played Stay Schemin in any trap club the DJ would cut the beat so the crowd could shout the Kobe line, fools still yelling "Wayyyyy up I feel blessed", if any rapper brings out Drake at their shows the place does ape ****, the flood of folk from all walks of like posting the #startedfromthebottom for every lil thing they were doing

Drake is not this popular because he crossed over and got female and white fans. He is this popular because so many people people from different walks of life listen to his music, partly he makes different style tracks for everyone. From the trap dude, to the suburban white girl, to the middle class regular joe black dude

But it must be my imagination, these folk must be white people in black face

Hey, btw. Those that skinny loud guy that comes on right after Drake. Seems to me that crowd is feeling his music too

Strange. Like the two artist, touching the same set of people

People want to be entertained, Drake entertains some, Meeks entertains some. Just that Drake manages to entertain much more

So lets please stop acting like everyone stops and thinks "I can enjoy this music if I can't relate to it"
bruh why are you even arguing that point ... This dudes clearly never been to a place like RedHook in BK at e in the AM .. If not they know they play Drake .... Started from the bottom now we here ... Come on fam ... Just cause you aren't talking about the street you can find a bunch of stuff you relate too .. This was not even an argument ... They just trying to throw **** and see if some sticks ... Repped btw

People never seem to amaze me man ... We can go on and on but here's the bottom line.

Drake and Meek are cool
Meek asked Drake for a FT.
Album release and Drake doesn't shout it
Meek gets mad and try to ether Drake with the Ghost Writer and basically calls him Fraud...

With all that said, do you dudes think Meek found this info out after the Album? Come on ....

Meek is the only Fraud here ... Meek knowing that **** still ask Drake for a verse ...

How much of a ***** can you be that you ask a dude for a favor and then dude doesn't shout out your record and you tried to expose him on some **** you didn't mind before you asked him?

Hear Drakes lyrics ... He was doing Charity work he doesn't need the money from the Ft. Trying to help a dude go gold ... Probably didn't like the Album to be honest .... Lmao

Dudes claim they are into hip-hop and just overlook the entire ordeal.

It's not a common practice to have somebody write your verses in rap, what are you talking about? Which one of those categories do you fall in line with? Women, white, or menstruation?

It's common for rappers to have help putting songs together. Do you have proof that people wrote entire verses for Drake or are you just assuming what Meek Mill said was true.

You miss me with that corny category stuff.

Based on some of ya'lls logic we were all gangstas busting guns in 2003 when 50 blew up

I was tho.

700

I never said hood dudes don't listen to drake...all I said most would prefer meek more..

Most would probably even say he make great songs...but they bang meek when they want something to listen too..

meek is the only popular "street rapper", so i guess thats why they prefer him

rest of these dudes are turn up/trap/swag rappers

I can't listen too Pusha or Jeezy until I moved some keys |I :smh:

My homeboy tried to put me on to this Gucci song, but Young Scooter is featured. So I gotta cop Rosetta Stone to learn Spanish, find a plug, and travel to Columbia to converse with him :smh:

I need to relate to my music brahs

Agree

Hotline Blingg is a perfect exaple of why people can relate to Drake more than Meek. 'these days, all I do is wonder if youre bending over backwards for someone else... wonder if you rolling backwoods for someone else.' :smh:

most of these fans take these rappers too serious

you see their instagram, you know they not in the streets, but when its a rapper whos early life was exposed those are the ones considered fake

LoL

That's why as much as I don't like Drake I don't mind Drake .. Dude never claiming he was from the streets, everyone knew his upbringing, he never tried to hide it. People really don't have much to say until now .....

This other cats are like Popa Doc, left with nothing to say just being Salty ... LMAO!

If Drake was pretending to be a gangsta or trap rapper there might be cause to call him a fraud.

But c'mon. We all know the deal, and he ain't faking the funk

Plus Meek outchea acting more whipped that a horse running the Kentucky Derby, and his gangsta is not being questioned
