🦉The Official Drake Thread6️⃣ - Scary Hours 3 11.17.23

Joe is going into overkill and kind of punching himself out. People don't really care about what he's doing right now. And the timing of this was piss poor with the whole social media paying attention to Alton Sterling. He knew this was happening and still dropped that diss. Nobody cares about this right now, man. And Joe is kind of stuck in a place where he thinks all the rappity rapping is effective. It's not. Lil B's diss worked because it was funny. Back 2 Back was funny. Ether was funny. Nas is the best rapping rapper ever and he knew that you have to be more entertaining than good. Like...good for Joe being able to rap, but I think Drake can win simply by being cooler and funnier than him.

And whoever keeps talking about that French record, there's a very good chance that he just gave Joe 4 bars and moved on. It's not a response to Joe rapping. It's a response to Joe podcasting. I can see holding that back because it would be misconstrued as a response to Joe's songs and people would give him the L for not coming hard after Joe had two whole songs about him. Strategically, it makes sense to hold that back.

Also, I kind of have a problem with not having a real problem with somebody and using personal things you guys talked about while hanging out against them. It doesn't sit right with me. Like the whole using old Drake vocal of him praising you is just lame to me. If we were ever cool, I can't really bring myself to diss you publicly. Especially when it's not a real problem.

Joe has hours and hours of talking about Drake on his podcast and it's not always awesome what he's saying. He just hides behind "I love Drake...BUT..." and it's wack,. I don't care what you're saying about me, I don't want anybody talking about me as much as Joe has talked about Drake. It would be annoying. And Drake was probably annoyed and gave him 4 bars because that's the main way Drake talks. Joe acting like Drake did something to him is wild.

You can make good music that's still attributed to other writers, ask Beyonce, Rihanna, any pop star. Drake just knows how to turn other people's words into hit records, he has a great handle on making songs. Nobody denies this. They were saying he was top 5 BEFORE the ghostwriter **** came out, not now. He doesn't get that benefit anymore which is why Flex was saying there's a separate category for someone like Drake...

That's my point...so you have to acknowledge the music is GREAT music if ppl are/were saying your music is worthy of you being top 5....

So when ppl act like all his CDs trash or mediocre it's laughable

So what I'm saying is keep making that great music and **** what everyone else saying.

1. This is rap, you rap to hold your standing in this game!

2. You new dude are annoying and seem to lack the understanding of what rap actually is. No amount of money
fame, pop status ...etc allows you to avoid beef/etc. with other rappers.

3. OVO sweatshop is working overboard trying to create something. Dude is a fraud and doesn't write his materials
and all you new dudes co-sign him because of his "pop-star" status. :x Milli Vanilli comes to mind, you younger
dudes need to look them up.

4. This younger generation is the #$%^@ worst I've ever seen. Lame trendy followers all over the place. Which
is why nobody at 19/20yr. will ever be considered a legendary artist.

You sound like a mad old head. I can't stand these new ****** myself, but every generation said this about the one before them.

Nas was a legendary artist at 19/20. The ****** drooped Illmatic. Illmatic B

I think that was his point. We not getting another 19 year old dropping wisdom. Instead we got straight up clowns representing rap today and it's pathetic. Full of excuses and avoiding any time of competition.

People like to cite that a lot, but Nas is an anomaly. We all know this. He wasn't the norm then and isn't the norm now. He's not Nas because he was normal.

Drake responding to Joe Budden in 2016 is like Hov responding to Craig Mac in 2003.

Like I could understand if they was really beefing...but burdens just hurt Drake and trying to promote a podcast.
Did Hov take blatant shots at Craig Mac on two different tracks?

If Joe is such a nobody, why did Drake acknowledge him in the first place?

You're sad. He said that **** was fire when it came out. This isn't new. I would love to know how old you are and if you are a male or female.

He acknowledged him 7 years ago when Drake didn't have an album out or a record deal. The podcaster has fallen off even more since then.

Preach.

The Lil Wayne/Drake generation is special.

I'm an old head I can tell you this simply isn't true. Money, fame and status does allow you to ignore people not on your level

All that other stuff about drake being a fraud is true though

Wake so hard that it turned Drake into an activist. I've never seen him speak up about anything in the black community.

"Cops killing people with their arms up, and your main focus is tryna harm us?" - Charged Up
'No Guns' Snoop

But carry on

You're better than this Baller :smh:

You sound stupid ...so dudes weren't followers in the 90s ? You're old and bitter ...so let me get this straight if Troy Ave dissed hov he's supposed to respond right ? Because this is hip hop right ? Some of you dudes are legit weirdos ... It's just rap it's not that serious ... hip hop fans are the worst of any genre of music

Everyone besides like Nelly, Eazy and Jay-Z were 23 and younger.

You couldn't get a deal if you were "old". That's why Nelly lied about his age.

Dudes were litterally in high school putting out music like with Leaders.

De La, Tribe, LL, Run DMC, Kane, Rakim, G Rap, Mobb Deep, CNN...dudes were teenagers.

Big L's album came out when he was 20.

That's why I always laugh when people bring up age as a factor in wack rap. Like when Soulja Boy came out.

It's instigating that's all. People talk trash when its not them in the battle. Drake doesn't want to acknowledge an ex heroin using, woman beating podcaster and dudes can't grasp that.

You see the childish insults already :smh:

Troy Ave and Hov ...

(insert) old/ wierdo/lame/washed/(/insert). But yes that's what "hip-hop" is actually about. Even that clown in your
avatar thought he could get at Hov. " The only time you went plat/my chain was around your neck/and that's an actual fact".
Any and everyone is subject to bars in rap,...that is if were rapping.

But. He. Already. Acknowledged. Him. . . . . .

NOT ONCE, BUT TWICE.

Hov/Troy is not Drake/Budden, at all. SMH, the reaching that goes on in here.
