🦉The Official Drake Thread6️⃣ - Scary Hours 3 11.17.23

No corny punchlines. Just straight spitting. This when Wayne was raw.

"***** we bustin and bust in, to the bang or buss
No we don't run for the Olympics but the Flame with us
I got that Tussin, that scummy and that Angel Dust
So pick your high, I will supply and correct change is whts up
We bring the bus in, we bust in like that thing for us
You ***** is sleeveless man you can't hang with us
I got a bish who speak Spanglish, she keep her bangles dangling and the cocaine is right up in her anus
Oh Wayne is right up in the spot where he supposed to be
Got hova at the game And now he coachin' me!
But I been the champion, Happy as I ever been
Lampin' in the Hamptons like, What the fkc is a hammock?
The chef up in the kitchen like What the fkc is a sammich?
I'm like we gotta find middle ground, We need balance
Challenge me, that'd be to my advantage
I'm outstandin' like standin' outside Up in the twister and walkin out Not damaged
Standin' outside up in the blizzard And walkin' hot handed
Servin' nickle bags in Iraq Bet I will not panic
Swerve the nickle black if I wreck, Bet I will not panic
Cop another one the next day, And drive it crazier
The seat ah be lazier, Sht'll be gravier
Nina Sarafeena my girl, so then I baby her
Waving her at you crazies, Fugazees, I'm too brazy
Three brazies deep, We got 380's and P80's
Nice 9's, M10's, M1's and 12 Gauges
Shell casings, Money put up for jail cases. Bail, make it
My momma say, Tuck your chain son!
They'll take it. I hit her with one of them stale faces
Like, I'll be damned mama. They know who I am mama
I'm still your little boy, But to them I'm the man mama"

Pen game crazy :x :pimp:. You really can't listen to this and front on it. You lying to yourself

I hadn't planned to sit here and rap along to Tha Mobb when I clicked this thread

Y'all done got Wavy started :pimp:

Pointlessly though, because you'll all stick to the "Wayne has no/has never had any content" narrative anyway.

After 11' I stopped checking for Wayne he the punchline king tho "yes I am weezy, but I ain't asthmatic"

Was that quote supposed to be in support of him being the punchline king, or...?

Y'all hating right now that boy was in a zone on this

Pre-2009 Wayne's delivery and wittiness is what made him great. And he did it effortlessly.

All of that is lost when reading his lyrics. He was no different than that 02-06 east coast punchline heavy mixtape era all you ****** worshipped. Just from a southern perspective.

Carter 2 is a classic to me and his run was great but Wayne was never no top 5-10 rapper ever. Y'all trippin. He was never great like that.
The fact that you didn't even count 04, 05, 06 Wayne shows when you started listening to hip hip.

When did I start listening to hip hop?

Biggie ain't no goat  idk why ppl say that ****

So in conclusion....you got the trapped in the 90s dusty old heads that think Wayne was overrated and never nice.

Then you got the young silly boys who hearts melted when Wayne was dropping corny trash post 2008 to now.

Being real and objective...you can recognize that Wayne from 02-07 was a good rapper at least.

Nah man.

After 08 you wouldn't get a song like Tha Mobb.

Once he figured out he could get away with doo doo metaphors and talking about eating ***** and still be held in high regard by those who buy his music it was a wrap. And the drugs changed his voice too. Plus those Nicki/Drake checks also likely made him lazy too.

At 28 I'm old enough to have seen Wayne from the start, and young enough appreciate what he did but he is overrated when these 07 fans start saying he's a goat. He was entertaining, great work ethic, had a nice delivery but he's not a Pac, Jay, Nas, BIG, Scarface. Most of Wayne's music was about nothing. That's why he trash now, he relied so much on metaphors. Then he started recycling the same lines and people woke up.

I'm still fascinated with how Wayne got people brainwashed into thinking he was the best rapper alive at any point. I'm 25 and probably the only person in my age group who wasn't a stan back in high school. Every time somebody tried to get me to listen to one of those Dedication or Drought mixtapes I just looked at them with the  face. I routinely got into arguments with people because they couldn't believe I disliked him

BMJR and C2 are fire to me tho. After that, he can keep all that ****.

Wayne had a run that lasted 3 years with Carter 1 and 2. After Drought 3 I thought dude was one of the best rappers in the game. Wayne was crazy with the lyrics so I dont think he was over hyped just ppl going overboard calling him the greatest alive. His fall off was impending given all the lean he was consuming and its clear he had diminished greatly by 2011. By Tha Carter 4 he was certified trash his last good release was No Ceilings in 09.

Why would he wanna be a biggie? Wayne has biggies catalogue times 10.... Does biggie even have 100 songs? Lmaooo

Nah because, ya know, his life was tragically cut short...

I kinda get where you're comimg from, but you can't name any project of Wayne's better than Ready to Die or Life After Death. Please don't even try.

10 times Biggies catalog yet can barely fit an amount of actual good songs for an EP, just like Lil B. If you pump out hoards of garbage you're bound to eventually find some gems.

Quantity>quality now, ok cool. Wayne songs are literally about nothing. Those same freestyles he do over others beats, he put those verse onto original songs. Once we grew up we realized it was son delivery not his actual lyrics. Everybody that was saying he was the best rapper alive wouldn't fix their lips to say it nowadays.
