🦉The Official Drake Thread6️⃣ - Scary Hours 3 11.17.23

Bro? Are you playing or seriously slow? HE SOLD 852k (HARD COPIES) and over 1 million with STREAMS!! Nobody said he did sold 1 million hard copies. He sold a million with STREAMS! I'm done with this, you clearly need help adjusting to the times.

That article didn't even have the official numbers (projections).

I believe you listen to all of his albums excluding the "moist ones" I don't think you can't dislike a persons music as much as you do with out listening to it first. I'm surprised Lord knows ain't your favorite drake song drake and Ross both go hard and it's some of just blazes best production
I found myself singing stftb randomly at times, even did it at karaoke before. Idk it just idk. **** drake tho.

Straight from Stereo Gum and Rolling Stone. Billboard and Forbes had similar articles. So like you said, no point.

Last October, Drake’s “Hotline Bling” just missed topping the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart because of an unusual technicality: The viral clip was initially released exclusively on Apple Music, whose video-streaming data was not shared with Billboard. Now, Drake’s label, Republic Records, is relying on another unusual technicality to skew the numbers regarding the Toronto star’s new LP, Views — this time in Drake’s favo(u)r. Per Republic:
The album, including digital tracks and streaming album equivalents, has crossed the 1 million mark in U.S. sales and nearly 1.2 million globally, and is expected to bow at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 in North America.
OK so let’s break up that sentence real quick, because it includes two unrelated clauses that are cleverly fused to make it seem as though there is some correlation:

LOL this is embarrassing, cause Drake is already a hugely popular artist, and he really doesn't need a helping hand in moving units. Instead, he goes Apple Platinum because that was available . I remember somebody was like "n n n n no no no Hotline Bling's streams were only counted as the album re re released :wow:". based on that article it sounds like previous streams were just copy and pasted on the current album

I already feel madd zesty posting in a Drake thread so I'm going to keep it short. To see that Drake out streamed Schoolboy Q's album is the beginning of the end for Hip-Hop. What's going to happen is by this new metric Drake album will eventually go Diamond.
All Eyez On Me
MMLP/ Eminen Show
Speaker Boxx/ Love Below
Life After Death
License To ill
... Views??

This is where my problem lies, those are classic projects by classic artists and Drake will eventually be grouped with them, with his worst album. We all know this could of been dropped as is, in 2002, and this thing would not sniff anywhere close to Diamond 14 years later. If they are using new metrics, they need to get rid of the plagues and start a new system to recognize the amount of streams you get.

Mc hammer sold more than most rappers but no one brings him up 20 years later , I wouldn't be too worried about Deake Bing mentioned among the greats.

Nelly sold more than drake, Ja sold more than drake.

 boy oh boy

Album is so wack man can't believe it's even a topic for discussion. No point in Drake replying to Joe at all. Im actually surprised Drake responded to Common either.

My issue is these lame rap fans many in this particular thread think Drake is somehow bigger than "rap". For some reason they think it's cool for Drake to move all these units and float around like he's some God MC,when he's been exposed as a fraud rapper.

Y'all taking this **** too seriously man.  Dudes just mad Da Boy outchea shattering their favorite rappers records.  Dudes in denial of the greatness happening right before their eyes.  Can't wait to dry hump some chicks to Controlla and One Dance in the club, this weekend
Did I do it right?

As somebody pointed out, Drake does kinda respond to every single person who says something to him, in some way. I can't think of him totally avoiding a situation...even Push, as you guys like to say. Because "Pop That" exists. Kendrick = The Language.

He doesn't really duck beefs. People just tend to never come directly at him. I'm sure there are a million reasons why. But he seems to respond in a very similar manner in which he's dissed.

So who died and said black face and schoolboy q was better than drake?

And what is wrong with views being on that list?

This **** is subjective man, if nothing else thats all this proved. If it bothers you that ppl are going to group drake with those guys then, I mean, I'm sorry bro?

At the end of the day...he went harder at Puff than he did Kendrick and Pusha.

That's questionable...any way you slice it.

Nah c'mon. Wayne success alone has him top 15-10 of all time.

As big as a Wayne stan as I am, he can't even get C5 out. Face the facts, that he wasn't who he was before. I haven't even heard "Free Weezy Album". :smh:

"No ceilings 2" wasn't that good.

Hopefully "Dedication 6" will be a resurrection.

He went off on this verse, though....

This is your proof that Wayne is still good?

Every blue moon he has a good verse. His verse on Thug Cry was dope.

and this was hard too

Yeah man. Tune went off.

Damn Ariana :wow:

She can get it but she looks like the type that can't take any D. You gon' go soft like 10 mins in.

Drake has actually SOLD OVER A MILLION COPIES.

Views is the highest-selling album released in 2016, with 1.34 million copies sold. It’s the second-biggest selling album overall in 2016, behind Adele’s 25 (which was released in 2015) with 1.44 million. (25 has sold 8.88 million overall.)

Legend regardless is the album is trash or not.

Puff vs drake would be ideal for both. Who can get someone to write the best diss. Kinda like a karaoke battle.

If you listen to joe budden podcast he kinda broke it down most of 4pm wasn't about puff.
Joe Budden is a sociopath who did alot of reaching on that podcast. I don't need him to break down **** that the rest of the world clearly heard as shots at Puff.
