The video is a huge GIF/meme reach. Not even mad though. I like the video. Reminds me of the Hype Williams joints when videos actually had budgets and SETS and not just random ****** in the street or their grandmas living room jumping around with guns and no *******.

Sucks to be DRAM but Hotline Bling is an objectively better pop song.

Thread/.

Hotline Bling is a better song in general

Top 5 song of 2015

Thread/.

50 told me, go 'head, switch the style up And if they hate then let 'em hate and watch the money pile up

A+ response.

I respect Drizz' and Erykah Badu for this. That's real.

When exactly did that shift take place?

Any true creative that understands the "good artists copy, great artists steal" concept will under DRAMs position here.

It's not that Drake is biting. you have to understand as an up and coming artist that is starting to gain recognition...if the biggest artist in the game comes and borrows your wave and it becomes the biggest **** ever...how do you not understand how that might slightly irk Dram?

Drake and/or his team was savy enough to flip the sample in a similar way to Cha Cha without actually sampling Cha Cha itself. Technically, no harm done on drake's behalf. But Hotline Bling is clearly inspired by Cha Cha...not the original sample itself. That's what dram is irked about. Personally I would have charged it to the game and kept quiet...but if you have a brain you can understand why he was bothered.

100%. Especially when DRAMs song was successful in it's own right. That's some slimeball **** on Drake's behalf.

i thought it was common knowledge the Weeknd gave Drake about 6 finished tracks for Take Care.

Sounds like a fair trade off. He let Drake use his glo. Drake put him on.
