it was a good diss record and everything after it just played out perfectly...

the smartest thing drake ever said in a song was that he is not hood, but hes been around the hood or something like that...

he tells you himself he not trying to play the hood dude...so i don't understand the whole soft aspect...its like the whole stop snitching movement, them dudes acknowledge that if your not part of the game or in the streets it doesn't apply to you as much as it does for those in those environments.

I think his point about the diss was they exchanged pillow-fighting mediocre disses, but Meek's extreme sensitivity combined with corporate backing caused it to feel like Hit'em Up.

It was a really good, effective diss record. That's really what it was. 

So what would have made it harder? If Drake started talking about literally bodying and beating the **** out of meek mill / dreamchasers y'all would be 100% in here clowning Drake for talking about something y'all perceive is out of his element and that's a fact. 

At the end of the day, Drake was in a lose lose with guys like WiltChamberlain and others. Y'all were already going to either call the diss hella soft, or OD wanna be hard / tough

It was ok. Wouldn't call it hard wouldn't call it soft either. The memes made it more so than the actual song. When I think of diss records Hit Em Up, Who Shot Ya, Ether immediately come to mind. Honestly outside of th middle part of B2B it was charged up status, major meh.
