seriously. the back to back/meek mill drama was 6 months ago

side note I sat about 30 ft from Drake at the clipper/OKC game.. :nthat:

he's a lot taller in person than I thought
U stoneface that then follow with the groupiest **** in this thread. "That rap beef talk is old, in important news I was 8 rows away from drake, omg he so tall and bulky."

i didn't say important news, I said side note.

go re-read my post, and then take a seat

Go take a seat.... 12 feet away from drake and admire how big he is. Talking like this ***** a athlete, omg he's way bigger then on TV, what is he 6'1 in a half?

Jumpman is really live. Like a bunch of ppl freestyle over it and **** but no one does it justice like drake and future did...the whole cadence, jumpman (x3) flow, etc. is pretty genius TBH. And then the Beat breakdown at the end is really cool...metro did his thing on that beat fr

I be telling people, mother f'ers can rap their *** off all they want.... Being an artist > being a rapper...two complete opposite things

Being an artist is cool until people call u the best rapper. 2 totally different things

I agree and there's a sure distinction between the two.

I do feel like Drake is an underrated rapper though. I think people look at him as this pop rapper, which is sort of true, he does have some pop sensibilites to him. But I just feel like he's with the ***** when it comes to rapping, and gets sort of overlooked in that regard.

I don't disagree. I just feel like his fans make crazy comments like he's better than x at "rapping" then start to mention record sales and popularity etc. He's not the best pure rapper no matter how they try to spin it, i think he and kanye are tied for best artist

This is fax. Although Ye has fallen all the way off.

Depending on what the comment is, I don't know I would classify the comments as "Crazy", cause the **** is subjective at the end of the day.

Also, when people make comparisons as far as Drake's rapping with other rappers, it's a hard comparison to make anyway because Drake as a rapper isn't the same as a Pusha T, or a Kendrick, or someone. Subject matter is completely different which is why it honestly comes down to preference. If you don't like raps littered with drugs tales, then you may be inclined to say someone like Drake is better. Conversely, if you are someone who wants to hear intricate stories revolving around hard life, drugs, etc. and don't prefer raps about women and the hardships of fame, you would say Pusha T or someone is better.

Preference.

Aubrey's flow, wordplay, nor lyricism is not even in the same Stratosphere as some of the other current best regardless of the subject matter.
