was just surfing thru the Buy/Sell Lounge and i seen a pair of B-grade motorsport...I coin myself a sneakerhead slash sneaker lover but its clear i dont know it all. I was under the impression that if it aint Grade A its a fake. Can you guys enlighten me a bit? I honestly thought the term B-Grade was a synonym for variant or fake. I know the devout sneaker snobs are gonna come at me for this post but hey!

B-Grade = genuine/authentic Nike product that is a factory second.
which is to say no functional defects in performance but there are some minor unpleasing aesthetic qualities such as a loose stitch, dried glue poking out-- cosmetic flaws, so to speak.

When a sneaker is discovered to have a cosmetic flaw, that sneaker as well as a set number of sneakers produced before and after it, are pulled from the production line and marked as "B-grade".

Usually "B-Grade" refers to a minor cosmetic flaw, such as slightly uneven stitching.

Of course more recently, the quality has quite often been pretty poor on *A* grade Jordans, sometimes showing flaws that should stop that sneaker from even being a B grade.

Summary: B-Grade doesn't necessarily mean a 'bad' sneaker, but with Brand Jordan, it could mean soemthing major as their A grades often fall short.

Makes sense because my spacejams and my Infrareds have small issues...even my eggplant foams...but they are too small to say anything about.
So the B-Grades never officially go into circulation or do they end up in outlets or something?

Outlets, although TBH i don't remember ever actually seeing anything marked 'B' at an outlet.

My outlet AF25 'Supremes', the left one is so lopsided where the tongue meets the upper, they should never have been shipped, never mind sole as 'A' Grade.
If i'd paid anywhere near retail for them, i'd be heated.

Usually B-grades are very small imperfections on a legit made shoe imperfections include like too much glue, stitching sticking out etc.. but again they are legit shoes.
