Via Daily News:
Timofey Mozgov, the Knicks’ new international man of mystery, may have won the starting center job even before training camp begins.

A Knicks official says that Mozgov, the 7-1 rookie from St. Petersburg, Russia, has been impressive during voluntary training sessions in Greenburgh and that coach Mike D’Antoni is already considering starting Mozgov alongside Amar’e Stoudemire, Danilo Gallinari, Wilson Chandler and Raymond Felton.

We need a defensive minded C alongside Amare, he'll fit in pretty good.

Have AR as the sixth man and have a lineup of 6'10 and taller, minus Felton

3. Gallinari - Walker(?)

i hope mike doesnt stay with an eight man rotation but he probly will. lulz

ones without question marks are the ones i'm pretty sure are gonna get minutes.
i put one next to timofey cause we really dont know much yet but eh i think he can grab a spot in the rotation.
at the two spot though.. what do you think mike will do? masonjr or azubuike?
and my mansss walker.. i doubt he'll get his burn though

The only way Mason is gonna get burn is if Buike isn't healthy and it seems like he'll be ready for the season. If Timofey does grab the starting spot Turiaf is the odd man out along with Walker. Probably have an 8 man rotation of:

Felton/Douglas
Wilson/Buike
Gallo/Wilson
Amare/AR
Timofey/Amare

With spots of Mason and Turiaf here and there depending on the situation.

I just made a $50 bet with a Knicks hater. I told him this current Knicks roster is better than the Nets and that if Melo signs an extension with the Nets he's obviously doing this cuz he wants out in Den and wants the money. After a lot of bs reasoning trying to switch the argument to if Melo is already on the Nets he committed to saying the current Nets without Melo would have a better record than the Knicks this season

Rautins won't sniff action unless there's injuries or he really starts to impress in practice. Turiaf will be playing center more than anything I think. Chandler could start initially due to familiarity and being a "vet" to the team, but I'd expect Azubuike to take his starting job. Mason and Walker will fight for minutes, that's a toss up to me

The big unknown, to me, is how often we see Gallinari, Randolph, Amare on the floor together. That will determine a lot of the minutes and lineups. Amare says he didn't want to play center, but that frontcourt could be very dangerous offensively... but weaker defensively.

Opening game I expect

Felton - Douglas
